Key factor in your success
Managing your time will be a key factor in your success at internet marketing. Having your dreams and setting goals may be relatively easy, but suddenly you find yourself overwhelmed because there's so much to learn. How do you manage your time on a regular basis?
- Plan
- Schedule
- Be organised
- Follow the training
- Be realistic
- Stay motivated
No one can do this for you - it's up to you. Always make sure that you add in some 'wriggle room' ie - extra time. (I generally add extra 20 minutes to every hour I schedule).
Just make sure in your enthusiasm you don't burn out!
Dreams vs Skills Level
Nothing wrong with having dreams and ambitions about your website - but you have to be realistic. If you want a site with lots of bells and whistles - it's going to take you time to learn how to put them all in. That means you either have to adjust your time frames for completion or you have to adjust your ideas.

Great advice Beverley. FOr new and older members alike. Distraction and burnout are my worst areas I need to work on. I either have no focus or hyper focus. no happy medium.

Great advice not just for beginners but also for us who have been here for a while. :)
"Don't have to many things on the go at once" Something I need to consider more often. If I'm able to write or work without to much going on, my quality of work is better and it gets done much faster. When you only have one site it's much easier to concentrate on what tasks need to be done. I was bouncing back and forth so much I was constantly confused and completely unorganized.
"Don't waste time on "if only"...I'm guilty of this a lot, but I'm trying to work around these hurdles....I don't let myself waste to much time thinking about how much easier it would be if I could do it this way or that way. Or, if I had all the money in the world so I could buy images and hire writers. I quit whining and wasting time and just get it done now.

LoL - Thanks Patty. I think so many of us are just trying to work it out. I frequently get it wrong myself. It's so much easier for me to give advice than it is to follow my own!
