copying and re-posting

Do not copy and paste any material in WA or from anywhere on the web. It is duplicate content, even if you give credit for it.

In WA, simply use the affiliate link provided to point people to the content.

~Jude

Did you know that you can earn referrals simply by sharing content here at WA? You can and this doesn't just apply to content you OWN here within the community. You can share others content as well.

You can share absolutely every post, training resource, and discussion here and you earn full affiliate credit. This can be done either via the "share" buttons, or you can grab your specific Affiliate Link from any page that you are on.

Very confusing. Sharing via copy and pasting. Whats the difference?

I have just started on boot camp, know you can share but not sure about copying

Bootcamp Bingo,You know that.Stay out of the MGM............

Great question Bingo. I have not attempted Bootcamp yet really. I still have soooo much to learn. Thanks

Hi it is in the first lesson of the affiliate bootcamp.

This is a good habit to get into. There are loads of valuable content and resources here within WA and you can earn money and referrals simply by sharing...sometimes in just a click of a single button! If you have any blog posts here at WA, you should share them
I will blog about this subject soon.

And I do understand about is it ethical or not. Some people are missing the point of community.

There is another part of training I am looking for Donna, and that is a statement from Kyle saying "refrain from simply copying and pasting articles???????????????"
If you find that please let me know
Is there a difference in sharing as opposed to c&p?

hey bingopauls, just want to let you know, I've had 7 invites in the past month, only 1 i got WA credit for, so don't get your hopes up!

I have no idea what the difference is between invite and an official cred. still kinda clueless on that but thats not my main goal anyhow. My goal is to actually target the right audience, so they can help pay my W.A. tuition, which I can then leverage to a full-time income once my traffic increases!!! (will be an exciting day i tell you, won't be for months probably but work hard now, get rewarded after, i guess....!) right!? :)

I"m with you on that credit thing. Don't even no what that is or what an invite is. From who? best wishes Paul

Let you know when I figure it all out Bingo! For now, best of luck :)

But I am glad to hear about the plug-in that blocks that

By copying, he means that every piece of WA content has an affiliate button it. Look up above the top post here. You will see a white affiliate button with a link. You can click that and get a link to share, promote, include in your content, etc. If the person reading signs up through that link, you get the credit for it. I use the one on how to build a website in under 30 seconds a lot.

I found some reference to it in Bootcamp phase 1 lesson 9.
But there is another part of the training that covered that tochey subject
Plus it was discussed many times here in WA about "stealing" blog post.
I have reposted articles that I thought we could all learn from like the popular ":6 ways to earn money", but always giving credit to the author
Still not sure but will do more research.
I just can't understand,if we are a community affiliate company, I thought helping others by sharing all good ideas is what we were about. Not hording your ideas. Just saying

bingopauls, what kyle is referring to is the fact that you can take content IDEAS from W.A., and implement the learning topics within your website, but it must be written in your own words/language.

Otherwise if we were all to take W.A. content and copy and post them on our websites, all our websites would then be greatly penalized by Google, and we'd all have the same exact content! See what i mean??

I understand what you mean, and to show you an example, here is a post i did in my first month at W.A. What i did was take the ideas, do additional online research and expand upon it in my own words.... http://affiliate-sale.com/niche-business-ideas

Pretty much there's a post on W.A. showing 100 different niche's, what i did was expand upon each niche, and write about how one could utilize and build a website with each topic.. comprende?!

I went to a few of the top earners here at WA and found a lot of the training videos and lessons simply copied and pasted to their sites.
But there is a place in one of the lessons that says and encourages using anything on WA to promote WA.
I'm still searching.but may not find it today. But I want to reread it, In fact I will blog it when I find it. I had ideas about doing that before, but will do it when I find it. Best wishes Paul

hah ok.. interesting.. Well bingopauls to be quite honest with you, its not only great practice to get into the habit of writing your own unique content, but will be good to have that unique voice people want to hear. It's how you become an online authority and very important to success. Point being, you have to atleast LEARN to write as your doing right now!

I am doing the best that I can with my limited education, but other people say things so eloquently I want to share.
I could never be a politician. I have no tact. Go for the juglar in the first sentence.

Just be yourself Paul! I, like many others, prefer that about you. There's a sincerity in your writing that your audience will appreciate.

Wow Kevin, thanks for those kind words as I feel that people don't understand me or my principals. Not one tobacco product has ever touched these lips. Quit drinking and never have done drugs no tattos,no piercings.
Well I guess I just described a pretty dull person.

Definitely not dull Paul! Carry on being you!

Hope you get an answer!

What exactly do you mean bingopauls?

In the lessons Kyle says it is okay to copy anything on WA. Today I see comments saying use a plug in to keep your content safe. I'm confused. Because I thought that if you use a great post and repost, giving the author credit,it was ok.

He's talking about WA content...not off someones website. It's ok to use other peoples ideas off their sites, in fact kyle encourages it, just don't write word for word.

Also how do use website cloning and real time back-up?

Hi Paul,

Please create a hosting support ticket so that I can look into restoring your website for you.

When you create a hosting ticket it gives us all the information about your website that we need.

To add a hosting support ticket just go to your website dashboard, then click on "Support Tickets" from the top tabs and proceed to add your ticket.

Here's the direct link: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Explain that you would like to have your site brought back from our back-ups and we can see about doing that for you.

Thanks,

Carson

Thats nice of you Carson to take the time to respond to that issue. I want to delete the other websites that do not pertain to WA as I think I got too much going on all at once and should concentrate on WA only I just wanted a way to get all that work back if I wanted to. .

We do back-up all of your websites so if you were to delete them, we will store a backup.

Carson

Thx everyone for you responses on website recovery.

WA backs up all the web pages on its site if you ever need to get it back for any reason just ask Kyle

Done Alan and thanks

My pleasure!

Here's a link from boot camp training.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wa-affiliate-bootcamp-content-keywords-and-conversions/backing-up-your-website

This is what I use.

What Jonicas sent me

"Jonicas Premium: For your piece of mind you should make a backup of siterubix content first, before effecting the transfer, a good plugin for that is UPDRAFTPLUS"

There is a good training to install UPDRAFTPLUS on the link below:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/installing-updraftplus

Actually we cannot backup a Siterubix site, because it is a subdomain, not an owned domain. We can copy some of the content files, such as posts, but the entire content of a Siterubix site cannot be backed up in the same that an owned domain can.

The UpDraftsPlus plugin does not work with a WA hosted site.

Carson has answered Paul's questions - WA hosting will recover our owned domain sites when requested by a support ticket, so there is no need for that particular plugin.

The link by bkcook above is the one to use to keep a backup should we ever want to move our WA hosted sites elsewhere. There are other backup plugins that work well too. e..g BackuWPup plugin.

~Jude

I use BackuWPup plugin with Dropbox
... seems to work well.

I have an account at MyRepono for backups.

Oh, sorry, this plug in is in Wordpress.

Jonicas sent me a link earlier this week. It's a plug in called Updraft Plus. I'll look for the link.

hey there

use dropbox to backup your website

Hope this help you

I think auto search results submited to search engines

Hello Paul! I just getting emails from ASR (active search results) saying I listed my site on their page. Which I did not. I found only your question related to this, so I thought I might ask you if you have any experience with them?
Thank you in advance.

Tunde, Yes they are a good SEO. Have had no problems
I submit my sites daily to them. They are a search engine I think it is just another helper

Thanks a lot Paul!

You can set up google speech recognition. You can talk and google will auto search and talk back (most of the time). It can set up in Google Chrome and am working on set up in Safari.

See http://youtu.be/bT0ldtdzilg to set up and see http://youtu.be/PVzsxfbmQUE for more information.

Have fun! I always have my Chrome open to do this all day. ^_~

If you have a Macbook Pro, the speech recognition happens anywhere you click twice on the fn key to start and once to stop recording. I use this answering mail, creating a rough draft content article in pages, comment and respond in google...the places are endless....only not here in this box.:(

Found out it stands for" active search results". Its from google so I think its good. Evidently you submit your websites daily. Up to 40 websites.Read about it. I guess Kyle knows. So I wonder if it helps. Cant see where it would hurt. It had me down for a site I had 5yrs ago. I deleted that site

Not the acronym in my book. Auto search recognition = ASR. A very useful tool few seem to talk about. So you can use my method of search, or not, it's okay. : )

Now perhaps asr, with no caps means what you say. Yet if I use my ASR, and 'ask what does asr mean?' google gives me: `Asr is a village in west-central Yemen. It is located in the capital of yemen Sana'a.'

However if I ask "what is active search results" in my ASR mode I get:
'Active Search Results (ASR) is an independent Internet Search Engine using a proprietary search engine ranking technology. All search results are provided by ASR's internal indexes and databases without relying on outside resources or third party search engines.'

I guess...careful what you search for. LOL. ^_~

caylynn. I wonder what google has to do with them as that is where it popped up from. It did not seem like a bad thing.but you have to resubmit your sites on a daily basis. If I see some results I will know. Thx for everything. You are great

Not sure what you were searching when this came up, but one result I found for it was Google ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition). Even found a link regarding the use of it. www.youtube.com/
watch?v=4pxgPFauWjQ

Thx JoAnne you are the only that responded .

Don't know what it is. Good question

As I understand it ast must refer to Google's Instant Search Results

http://www.google.com/insidesearch/features/instant/about.html

Type the following in the search field at the top of your page:
Google instant search results

Found out ASR stands for "active search results" looks kike it might help. Free take a look Willing
