I just got kicked off of Google + for no apparent reason that I know of. Tried to put a new post on and they said I did not conform to their agreements. I do not know.

I wasn’t kicked off but was told I had done something against their rules. I contacted a member here who suggested it was because I used the black Friday banner with WA affiliate link as the picture. Sure enough I removed the affiliate link and it worked. They like to see your post link and not an affiliate link I guess.

That's what everyone has been telling me, they do not like sites with affiliate links in them. But its alright for them to blast what I look at all over my screen.

I stopped all together because they kept removing all of my pictures and post. Which is crazy even if they didn't have links!!!!

I'm sorry this happened to you, But thank you for brining it to the community so we could all learn from it!

Thank You Anita.

You're welcome!

I hope you all get this message. I sent in an appeal to Google last night and they reinstated me this morning.
All I said was I would correct the situation, even though I didn't know what I had done.
I guess Brad is right they don't like affiliate links.

Bill

Great information to know in the responses you received. I hope you get it figured out.

Is it wrong thinking to sacrifice Google + in order to have easier access to affiliate links? What are the pros and cons?

This is pure conspiracy theory on my part, but because google is into everything, I think they make things more difficult for sites with affiliate links. I haven't had difficulty for quite a while, but early on I had to verify ownership of sites twice.

Yes, that verification nonsense is quite troublesome. Any way around it?

I don't think so. But, at least in my case, after the second time it didn't happen again. I never did know what I had done to requre the verification.

I agree with Mark on this. Google is into everything. I couldn't even post none of my affiliate links period unless it lead to a site I own. I just stop posting on Google. Not worth the trouble in my opinion.if you want to just start a group there of WA or affiliated members that's about all you can do. Unless you create a page with them. Other than that. I leave Google alone. But that's just me

I broke a rule once without knowing I was doing so. I still get a message that says I have recently violated their rules. It was months ago. I swear a little under my breath every time I log in and see it, but click on ok and continue anyway.
Hope you get it sorted.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

THERE IS AN APPEALS SECTION ON G+, YOU HAVE TO GO DIGGING FOR IT AND BE PERSISTANT....EXPLAIN THAT YOU DONT KNOW WHY ......I CONTACTED THEM AND WITHIN 48 HOURS MY G+ WAS BACK AND INTACT......

WILL KEEP ALL CROSSED IN HOPE FOR YOU XOXOX

It isn’t just google. Facebook is the same way. They consider links to products as spam. At least that has been my experience. I use my blog post to bring value, then I promote the blog post and that’s where customers can find the link to my product. I am open to learning any other suggestions.

Google + doesn't like affiliate links. Here's another WA member who had the same experience as you earlier:

If you are using affilite links Googe + will give you trouble.
