Core “Business Start Up” Training
asked in
Getting Started

I have a domain at GoDaddy that is up for renewal on Dec 23rd, and I'd like to transfer it to WA. Can you direct me to the training that shows how to do that?

You may transfer or point to WA servers (if transferring domain has to end in .com, .net or .org.

To update your domain DNS settings to point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

ns1.mywahosting.com
ns2.mywahosting.com

These settings will be updated within your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain) after the transfer has taken place. To transfer your domain here, you need to log in to the current registrar and fetch the EPP code; there's a one-year charge of $15.99, privacy included. One year more will get added to your domain.

Also, it has to have passed the grace period of 60 days.

If your site has content, you need to contact site support for further instructions.

They will typically ask you for FTP info and your domain name; they'll set up a siterubix subdomain and upload files. Then, you can check everything is okay before you point your domain to WA servers.

Thank you very much, Andrew and TheAbiePPlus. I appreciate the info and assistance. I have made the transfer and it all seems to work

Awesomely welcome :)

Glad to be of assistance.

Hi Bill,

I've been checking out ChatGPT and the AI phenomena lately and have been wondering about building a website using AI. I see there are some sites using AI but is anyone using an

I think there are a few. I choose right now to build my own.

i think Dianescorpio has been experimenting with a site or two mainly done by AI...
if you get the right ai and tell it exactly what you want - tweak it a bit then you can get some really good results which are very readable...
how google will deal with this in the future - who knows...
but a bit like the black hat era - if it works and you don't mind it being short lived then go for it....
google is saying that as long as content is useful, and unique then it has the same chance as any other content with being ranked...
it is a bit like having a free content writer... so always fact check and read through ....as you would with a content writer...
make sure they answer the keyword and don't go too far off topic...
there are plenty of sites to look for prompts to help you start on this journey...

Great points, Feigner; this is a new world, so how Google ends up dealing with it is very much left to be seen. Thanks for sharing your thought

Hi Bill,

Phil is correct that Diane has been building a site whose content is all AI. Last I had asked her it was doing ok in traffic for a new site.

I've also followed a few tests on a different forum building all AI sites. Last i had read a few months ago, one such experiment that loaded a lot of posts quickly was doing well also.

They were uploading a LOT of posts though, waiting to see how they ranked and then took the better ranking posts and tweaked them to give them more of a human touch.

There have been some awesome classes here from Jay (magistudios) you should watch if you have the time. Regards,

Jason

Thanks for the insights @01Jason and for the link to the training. As always, there's a ton of great info to digest on AI here on Wealthy Affiliate

Also, recently I have been using Claude AI vs. Bard or Bing, or ChatGPT. And I am fascinated by their responses.

You can use ChatGPT for brainstorming and outlining but use it as a tool, not copy and paste.

Also, for factual content, you would need to cross reference your findings because ChatGPT does get it wrong.

That's precisely what I have been doing.

Brainstorming and exploring ideas is how I've been playing with it thus far. Agree, @theabiepplus, that it is not copy and paste.

From what I've read, anything after 2021 is out of date. ChatGPT also makes up answers for you when you don't fill in enough blanks on the prompts.

You can also ask it to run feedback on your content, and I found its notes to be very valid, so you can edit and make content more compelling.

I have my name website hosted on SiteRubix now, having switched it from SiteGround.

Since switching, I have been innodated with Spam emails. Every day there are tons of

No, Abie, it is my website email address for my name URL at billgluth.com so it's a business website and email - I have it going into Outlook and getting a ton of spam every day.

Right, it says siterubix in the question.

You may like check out below thread on the how to

That's great, thanks Abie. I will check that out. I'm seeing that it may be an Outlook issue since the Webmail at SiteRubix is filtering the spam successfully -- maybe should have just stayed with webmail, huh 😏 ??

I believe you are better off with Outlook vs Webmail for filtering purposes.

Perhaps this will also help

I think I may have got to the bottom of it in Outlook settings @AbieAJ. Thanks for the replies

So very welcome.

Hi

Is it your personal mail, because you cannot have a webmail or forward from WA with a siterubix subdomain.
