Feeling good about getting rolling

I got through the first training segment, and it was beneficial. I got me writing my personal ideas and not just for client needs. That makes me happy.

I'm learning a ton and enjoying the journey. I'm working in the business development space. I guide small businesses in defining, developing, or refining their sales process primarily.

I am very proud of sticking to a schedule of getting up extra early to accomplish one training segment per day. It’s something I did years back and now have reignited that effort once again. It’s paying dividends from the start.

Over the next month, my plan and goal are to get the website looking good with relevant content as I continue the learning journey. I’ll be taking advantage of the Wordpress courses in the training area. I also want to accomplish the training on developing a personal brand that Kyle sent when I went Premium.

By month 2, I set a goal to digest the training so I can start launching a local lead gen marketing platform to add to my work.

By month 3, my goal is to expand the website, keep learning and to expand marketing into more effective social, content marketing, and lead gen.

By month 6, my goal is to earn at least the cost of marketing dollars I’m investing back into the lead gen business. I also set the goal of acquiring 3 more long-term biz dev clients by month 6, using the teachings offered by WA.

What do you think? Does that sound reasonable? Are you spotting any “pie-in-the-sky” here?

Thanks for letting me know. I’m grateful for all comments and ideas.

The goals you've set may not work for others. But they WILL work for you given the attitude you have and the regular actions you're taking daily.

I salute you for coming up with a very doable plan. However, if it takes a tad longer do not fret. It all comes down to the number of articles you have published. There is a direct correlation between the number of articles you published and income. That is how Google decides your website is an Authority site. And rewards accordingly with high rankings and traffic.

Of course when your lead gen system kicks in that will also halp.

I wish you much success in your online business goals.

Ewin

Thank you, Ewin, I appreciate your perspective as well.

I always like to have a target to hit when it comes to goals. However, I also like to be kind to myself. I've learned over the years that as we move a ladder of learning and experience, goals may need to be adjusted.

The content and Authority site info is really great info, thanks for sharing it.

This is good Bill it is always good to have a plan and stick to it. Wishing you success.

Well done Bill
All the best. Jim

I've watched you come here and take action from day one. You immediately made the shifts you needed to make for your goals to become a reality, and I think that's a huge part of the process for many people.

The next step is acquiring the technical skills you'll need to serve the customers, and perform the marketing of your agency. I've seen a wide range in terms of the learning curve for people who learn SEO, social media marketing, Wordpress technical skills and so on.

Like Laurie said, you have a great command of the English language and that's going to be a huge advantage for you. Added to that, you have a background in sales, and I can see that also being a huge advantage for you as well. Your self-discipline will also give you a leg up. I believe you have lots of great success ingredients that take many people months or years to stabilize!

Social media and search engine optimization are two different ways of thinking in many regards. One is more entertaining and the other is more about working with bots to make sure your content reaches a relevant audience.

Either way, I think you'll be able to accomplish everything you desire and more because of your determination. I think it's great to have goals and thresholds in mind, and it's also good to have ranges and grace because this career path isn't a cakewalk (as I'm sure you can see).

I don't see pie in the sky, but it's a little difficult to predict the learning curve for the technical skills. I'll help as much as I can for you to feel confident delivering your services within your set timelines.

Sounds like we've got work to do, but we can do this!

WOW! Thanks so much for your review. I'm on a mission that's for sure and feel that WA will help me get there W A Y faster than any other path I've found.

Step-by-step as they say. I'm glad to see that this is not some dreamy sounding goal but feels real to people who read about it. You know how it is, sometimes, when working on your own it can be challenging to see an idea objectively.

I always find the learn then do then learn some more method to work well for me. Luckily, this is the WA method of training too so it appears to be a good fit.

Well, onward and upward, as they say. We've definitely got some work to do!

I know how it is to see an idea too optimistically. I think it happens alot at the beginning of a new journey: in business, relationships, and other things. You underestimate what needs to be done, then reality sets in one day. Hahaha.

The learn then do method is a great way to go. I like to take action as I'm learning too. Wealthy Affiliate says earn while you learn is the method. Of course, you don't start out earning, but you can definitely continue the learning process well after you start earning.

Your plans are solid Bill. I wish you luck with your endeavours.

Derek

Congratulations, sounds like you have some solid plans!

Congratulations on your early success keep it going
All the best

Janet

No "pie in the sky" thinking there, Bill; I appreciate your organized thinking!

You have an excellent command of the written language, a plan, and now - a great learning platform. Everything has come together.

I suspect you'll have great success!

Thank you, Laurie. I appreciate your kind comments. Onward and upward, as they say.
