Do you control of your life?

Perhaps you have retired and need to make some extra money or you just want to keep busy making a few extra bucks doing something you enjoy.

Perhaps you have all the money you need and just want to help out by volunteering to help manage a local non-profit's website. People have many reasons to do what they do. When you have an adequate income and can live the way you want a whole world of possibilities open up to you.

I'm a conservationist. I wanted my kids to learn to love Nature. As a family, we did a lot of hiking and exploring both by car and by foot. Swimming on a Hawaiian reef was one of our regular after work activities.

The first step is to know what you want to accomplish in your life. At this stage in my life, I want to leave a business to my youngest daughter. Like so many people, she has no retirement fund and social security is not going to provide her a living income when I am gone. She has dedicated her life to taking care of family. First, caring for my son while he fought a loosing battle with cancer, Then she returned home to care for my wife and I. She makes it possible for us to live at home.

How about you? Do you know why you are here on earth? Are you going to make a difference? It is important to know what you want to accomplish. Your goals will change as you achieve them and set new ones. How we spend our time determines how we spend our lives. We live in the moment. We can not do anything about the past. We can learn from the past, but we cannot change it. We can look at trends and try to predict the future. We might be wrong. All we can do is watch the trends that might affect us and make course corrections when needed.

Know what you want to accomplish. Work on the important stuff a little bit every day. Frequently ask yourself, "Is what I am doing the best use of my time."

All we can do is make sure what we are doing NOW is the best use of our time. To do that, we need to know what we want to accomplish. I find joournalling is a powerful tool to help me stay on track. Be sure what you are doing is consistent with your values. Your purpose and your values must be in alignment. If they are not, you either have to change your values or you have to change what you are doing.

Now, decide how you are going to turn your dreams into reality.

Define your goals. Break those goals down into tiny steps you can accomplish in less than a month. These are your objectives. Put your objectives in your calendar. Decide when you are going to work on an objective and when that objective must be completed. Brainstorm the strategies you will use to accomplish your objective. Develop the detailed plan you will use to carry out those strategies.

You have personal goals, family goals, financial goals, goals for your faith, etc. Make sure you keep your life in balance. Make time to work on all your goals, but concentrate on two or three that are most important.

My financial goal is to build an Internet marketing business that provides an income of $5000 per month using evergreen marketing meaning the work I do today keeps paying me far into the future.

Internet Marketing changes quickly. I have to stay up to date with such things as changes in technology and changes in search engine algorithms. For now, I will have two websites. One will be devoted to personal growth with an emphasis on the elderly. The second will focus on what we must do to be able to respond to emergencies and opportunities. I will build a fan base of people who share my interests and who I can help build a better life.

In short, I will do everything I can to expand my circle of influence. Stay tuned, let's work togeter to achieve our dreams.

I set goal in this WA, but still not get it.

Most people set a money goal. You have no control over that. You can control how many people you contact or whether you set up an opt-in list. Make sure you break you goals down into action steps you control and set deadlines for accomplishing those steps.

Thank you. I break it down to steps.
I make a website and I have low traffic.
And I promote and engage via social media. but not accomplish.

Thanks for sharing.

Discipline, discipline, discipline!

Not to disciplined. Got take time to smell the roses or go for a swim.
