This post is thanks to Labman and a post he wrote ten years ago. I was inspired by Labman and his post to largely rewrite the post to bring it more up-to-date. Thank you Labman for your inspiration.

I believe this post may help newbies get started, but it's really intended for all the thousands of members who haven't completed their profile or done anything with this opportunity.

I'm always amazed when I check the profile of someone who follows me. They have set lofty goals. They have been with wealthy affiliates for several years, and they have not completed any training. They haven't even completed their profile, and if they have a link to a UR, it is often broken.

Everything you need to become a successful internet marketer is here at WA. Success requires patience and consistent effort on your part.

First:

You need to set up your Account settings. Why do you need to do this?

WA is an amazing community. When you fill out your profile, it helps us get to know you. Be sure to include your website URLs. The more you participate in WA, the faster you learn. Document your path to success. You will be able to look back and see how much you have accomplished, and the community will be able to suggest a path forward when you don't know what to do next.

What do you need to do?

1. Add an about me section to your profile.
2. Add a profile pic.
3. Add your URL when you get one.
4. Visit the chat often. It's a good place to ask questions, offer advice, and just get acquainted.

Now you are ready to start training.

My biggest problem when starting was there was so much going on I went down the WA rabbit hole and spent all my time learning. Be sure to take the lessons one at a time and implement what you learn on your website. That is why WA gives even free members a website to work with.

Don't be in a hurry to join big affiliate sights like Amazon. Amazon gives you three months to make three sales. If your website is not getting traffic, you will not make the required sales. Instead, concentrate on promoting WA. WA offers the most generous affiliate commission I have found on the internet.

Read the rules

Before you start blogging, read the rules. No external links, and no spam. The rules are what keep WA such a generous and helpful community. Sharing your blog post is the best way to introduce prospects to WA. You can even share other members' posts. Any who reads the post becomes your customer for life.
