Do you have a mentor?
What is a mentor and why do you need one?
First, your Mentor is someone who supports what you are trying to do. Your mentor is a positive person. Your Mentor keeps you accountable. S/he is someone you can bounce ideas off of and who can give you suggestions as to how you can do better.
Your Mentor doesn't need to be smarter than you or more accomplished than you. You've heard two heads are better than one? It's true. This is a case where two equals four. They call it synergy. When you brainstorm with someone, you come up with ideas that neither one of you may have thought of on your own. Here at Wealthy Affiliates, we have thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of mentors.
I give my mentor a weekly accomplishment report and he sends his to me. It is a way for us to work together and hold each other accountable.
I use Evernote to keep track of everything I do. I plan my year, my month and my week by the day. I try to balance my life. Faith, Family, Personal, Community Service, Conservation and Business are all important to me. I don't want to neglect any of them.
The Blue Zone folks tell us people who live their life with purpose live an additional healthy decade. I know that when I'm working to accomplish an important goal, I have a feeling of well-being. Tony Robbins recommended a life planning system he calls RPM. It stands for results, purpose and Massive Action. For each objective you have in each area of your life, write out your RPM. Then, pick three major objectives you will work on each day. Ideally, each objective would be from a different area of your life.
I'm using VoiceNote II to write this. It is a speech to text dictation program by Google that has most of the capability of Dragon Naturally Speaking. Dragon for my Mac costs a couple hundred dollars. It is slow to load and if I have any other programs running, crashes frequently . I only use it I have a lot of writing to do. On the other hand, VoiceNote is a Google extension that works in Chrome and comes up instantly. It's very convenient and I use it all the time. It is not perfect but neither is Dragon. The only drawback is that you have to be connected to the internet for it to work.
Notice how I publicize this post. It originated as an email to a new client. Then I edited it to make it suitable for a WA post. In my Bill808 blog(check my profile and check it out)I made a brief note about the importance of a mentor with my affiliate link to this post. I then publicized my Bill808 post in all my social media.
Look at the advantages of using WA in this way. First, WA is an authority site so my chances of having this post rank high in the search engines is high. Second. publicizing my Bill808 post in social media brings traffic to my site and if those visitors want to read this post they have to click on my WA affiliate link to do so. That means everyone who reads this post through my Bill808 link becomes a potential customer for life. Now if I set this up so anyone who wants to link to this post has to give me their email, I will be able to contact them and start building a relationship with them. Of course, my auto responder does the initial contacts, so by the time I send them an email blast, they are already a warm market.

My mentors are in the WA community. Most of them don't even know they are my mentors.
