I found it on my other site can't seem to locate it on this one http://gpsspecs.com/hello-world. I know it is easy I just have a dumb spot between my eyes today. Thanks all you
On my site when I went to posts, it didn't give me the option of deleting there. So Bill, I'm going to offer another suggestion. Be forewarned - ChristphrLee would know more than me; I'm a newbie. Try going to your dashboard. Click on -appearance- and then -customize-. You should be able to delete "hello world" from there. Please let me know if this works - God Bless! ~Cathy
Hello World does not show up in Customize or in my Post. I think I will have to delete the post and start over.
Go to posts and it should be on a preset post there - then you can delete that post or just edit it and delete the 'hello world'.

Bill did you find out how to get rid of the "hello world?" I am in the same boat.. I remember in the lessons deleting the "hello worlds" but I have no clue where I found it. I created a second website and didn't go step by step with the Lessons so I am back tracking :)

Has anyone had this happen to them A message to to uncheck them:

The way notifications works, is anytime someone comments on a post like this one, you will get an email. If three people comment, you get three emails. While they may all look the same, they are for each individual that commented.
To turn this off, click on your profile pic at the top right of the page, then select Account Settings. Near the bottom you will see Email Notifications Settings. You can deselect and select what you want.
Thanks edensbox
I left a bit of information out The comment is coming from a visitor to my WebSite. Any time anyone comments on my WebSite he also gets notified. Would you know how to fix that one? I will go and look at my theme and see if there is a setting there.
Thanks so much for your help.

I am working on 3 WebSites and find it to be time consuming. Are you having the same thing happening to you? I am working on them in order of date created 1,2,3 I will add to 1
HI Bill, I've only got two, and I feel exhausted already, well, in a good way. I work part-time, almost full-time (4 days a week), and as a busy Mum to 3 school kids, 2 is enough at the moment. Joining the bootcamp is in my list, but that will come later.
Well I am retired, but home project really keep me busy and summer is camping time for the 5th wheel. Thanks for your comments Jen
I would only work on one at a time till they are successful then move on to another. 3 is too many to be productive with.
Kyle suggested having one great one before moving on for it does take up a lot of time especially if your like me really new to it all
I am mostly new -- I did build a website in 2006 using Dreamweaver using website for dummy books and hosting on my own computer. Believe me it was allot of work I was being paid very well the man I was working for had heart problems and closed the site down. I was getting 500 to 600 hits a day and it was starting to bring in some $$$. so life happens.
That seems like a lot of work to take on, is it not? I have another full time job, but only find time to cope with keeping one site updated on a regular basis. 3, to me sounds stressful.
I am retired, but stay really busy with home projects, camping, ATVing, and traveling to see the kids. So some days don't get as much time as needed to keep up, but I am stubborn and will keep trying until I get it right.
It does keep me moving between the 3 of them. I do have some help on the third one in writing content, but they are on vacation now, so will have to wait until the return to keep that one going.
When working alone, full time, usually 1 or 2 are the max you can maintain well without outsourcing anything!
I have managed to get two sites fairly well balanced at this point, but it did take some time to establish that. I have a third site in the works, but I am progressing a little slower then I had hoped for on it. I have been aiming at aligning different days to be working on different sites, but usually I just end up going where the flow takes me.
Yeah I find it hard to stay on my 123 schedule. Sometime will give attention to the one that is squeaking.
I usually do alternate them myself. If you were thinking of adding another site on, my advise would be get the balance down with the current ones first and then once comfortable with that, move onto the next.

Am adding a Contact email and would like the customer to be able to click on the email to send me an email. I used the wigit text and have an email address on the side bar, but
Make a contact me page, then using this plug in http://contactform7.com/ add the form to that page and save it.
Now you can make a custom menu with just the contact me page in it.
Next add a custom menus widget to your side bar. Just choose the contact me menu and you have it happening. They click the link and go to the form.
Hope that makes sense I am tired :)

Like other members suggested, its less beneficial to put email in the sidebar. You can use Wordpress plugin called Contact 7 form, for your visitors to message you. One other alternative would be to add a skype chat link to reach you in real time.
Yes I've been told to keep email urls out of the website because of spammers, scammers, and the likes. And to not even use them here, in chat, or on a questions article. Did you remove it yet?
Funny though. In the contact page, I've been told to leave my phone number so if anyone has any questions they can reach me! Seems like that might not be a good idea after all. No one has ever called me though! Well, I did get one person called me wanting to know more about how they could make money online. I told them %$#@^&^R$!
There is a free thing called contact me you just register and gives you a bit of html you paste in a text widget in your sidebar or on a page. And when someone fills it in goes straight to your email. Alternatively use an optin form from an autoreponder just paste html code in the sidebar.
Hi Bill, firstly I'd advise against displaying your email address on a website. The reason is prevent it being harvested by spammers. But if you want to do you need to place "mailto:" in front of the email address in your widget.
Alternatively you can install a contact form plugin, or install Jetpack which has a contact form included. This allows anyone to send you a message which goes to the email address you define in the form settings.
Hope that helps.
Jim

I have client looking to add e-commerce. Need pricing and best plugin
I have ended up using free Paypal buttons with HTML. There is hosting restrictions with some e-commerce plug-ins and WA. I would seriously check with WA support first. I spent a lot of time on a Shop and WA will not hold up the steady connection that most plug-ins need.
I would definitely go for WooCommerce, it is free and seems to have good reviews. I am not using it myself.
Hi Bill - I've just built a site using WooCommerce too - I've not made use of all the features, but spent maybe a day figuring it out - and it is highly flexible.
I wanted to link with WorldPay (rather than out of the box PayPal), so I had to pay for an extension (from WooCommerce) to do that - but that's how they make their money, and make the main plugin free, so I don't have a problem with it.
All the best, Mark
Hi Bill,
I'm using WooCommerce on a website that I'm building up. It works great and looks very professional. Also, it's a free plug-in.
I just spent three days trying to set up a shop. I must be too much of a beginner because I had troubles with it. It is set up finally, I am using a plug-in for free. I am not that thrilled with the looks.
Probably because it is a free plugin. There are marketing products that are much sharper, user friendly, efficient, easier to track, mobile ready, and can search for items and set up a store with their platforms in minutes (upload all items you want rather than one at a time)
i.e. Shopify and Ecom, etc. But they are pricey!!
What is your time, struggling/ frustration, and energy worth is the question. Best of luck!
