Take a look at this page. It's a "Ghost Spammer". It's a well-known Analytics spammer, Vitaly Popov.

I contacted SiteRubix support this is their reply:
We checked the screenshot and there is no need to worry. It’s just spam vying for your attention. Your website, its ranking in Google search or SEO are not at risk. You can follow the steps below to exclude it from your stats.
Create an Exclude Filter
1. Open your Google Analytics account and go to the Admin tab> Cick Filters on the right side in the VIEW section.
2. Click the + ADD FILTER button to create a new exclude filter.
3. Add lifehacĸer.com or something you can easily remember as the Filter Name.
4. Select the Custom Filter Type.
5. In Filter Field, find and select Campaign Source in the list. In the Filter Pattern text box, add reddit and click the blue Save button on the bottom of the webpage. To add multiple URLs to the same filter you can make a Filter Pattern similar to this with a | between each URL: Example.com | Example\.com | reddit.com
Please let us know if you require further assistance.
Hello!
Thank you so much for this information.
I did try this before but I guess we'll have to wait and watch how Google fixes things at their end.
I've applied all filters but it stops for some time and comes back again! Currently, there are no visitors.
How's it going for you?
Sorry for posting something you already knew! I should have read all the comments. I haven't tried the filter yet.
WA wise I'm moving slow. I'm trying to balance a j.o.b., getting an online biz going and life! But isn't that what most of us are going through? I'm focusing today and the weekend on getting my keywords and content set up. Focus is the operative word that's tough for me right now.
Good luck to you!
Got the same strange traffic from Russia and Reddit. I JUST launched my site. See attached.
IMO It seems as though the host has been hacked! In my google analytics I get this under Language (should be U.S....etc)
Secret.ɢoogle.com You are invited! Enter only with this ticket URL. Copy it. Vote for Trump!
I'm submitting a ticket to the host. Probably will have to move to a more secure host.
We are in the same boat, Suhail. I am also getting traffic from Reddit but haven't subscribed from Reddit. When I clicked on it directed me from my site. Still looking for answers.
Thank you. I also want to add that I am also getting traffic according to google analytics from lifehacker.com, Secret.google.com and addons.mozilla.org. Do you know if these exists?
Don't know if they are trying to hack our websites because I also found something that says nextweb.com/a-russian-trump-fun-is-celebrating-by-hacking-google-analytics. It sounds carry it was in my google analytics. I hope it won't affect our sites and that there is nothing to worry.
Haha but Trump has no reason to hack our websites lol... this must be some weird issue and it'll get fixed.
Just very strange because they are still on my website and there are more than 600 pageviews now.
I've searched a little more and I found that when referral spam happens, it is best to apply a new filter in google analytics.
Just to let you know that I also experienced this yesterday and about a week ago without posting anything that would trigger this. But I haven't had a chance to study my analytics yet.
Let's hope so. The spike does seem odd and whilst it's great to see more traffic, it would ge good to know if this is down to us doing a good job rather than something suspicious taking place.
Well, looking at the bright side, I now have a bounce rate which is 30% lol but it does look like something is wrong because even though there are a lot of visitors, they only stay on the homepage, come from the same source and this has happened to other people too!
I received another small spike early this morning. All roughly at the same time 2-4am uk time. 21 visits which is a lot for my site so I think there might be something going on here.
The / would be your home page.
Can you search reddit for your domain name?
Hard to know more without more details.
That's exactly what I did but cannot find anything suitable for explaining why this is happening.

What is the reason i'm getting sudden traffic from reddit?

I've also been getting a lot of traffic suddenly from Reddit. I know how to filter referrals in Analytics, but I'm not certain yet that I want to filter this! The Reddit traffic is not just staying on my home page, but going to 2-6 pages. My bounce rate has dropped from an average of 80% to an average of 30% in just a few days. What interest would a hacker have in directing traffic that hits more than one page on a site?
It might be someone posted a link to Reddit for your website.
The spam bots which were part of the recent spam which took place would only stay on the homepage.
I've filtered it now so I don't have any spam in my Google Analytics. I think you're getting traffic from Reddit but not necessarily spam.
Would be better to ask an expert about this.

Hi everyone!
I've just installled sumome and I have subscribers through the scroll box thing.
When I posted something new, they didn't get any email.
Can someone pleas
what I do is just copy all their email address and send out an email to them all once a month -
I now have 22 subscribers which is not many but better than none but I now have to figure out how to get them to convert
Yeah, that's great!
I use MailChimp now and that works really well.
Also, I still use sumome because they have a great way of collecting subscribers and many other features. :D
I am not familiar with all of the email services listed in the services area of Sumome but I do know MailChimp has a free option. You will need a email client for Sumome to sent the new subscription email to.

Hello, everyone!
I use shareaholic for social sharing and it does not come with a free newsletter box and I've tried using sumome but the box did not show up after the first
I'm not familiar with Boxzilla but generally you would get the code from the autoresponder service you are using for the newsletter subscriber opt-in form, e.g. Aweber, Get Response, MailChimp, or other.
I assume there would be a field in the Boxzilla settings where you would need to add that code. ~Jude

Hello, everyone!
I've been a member at WA for more than a month and I have my own domain.

Yeah, that is completely fine. You can check Google and see if it is completely de-indexed, if it is, then remove it.
It doesn't do any harm keeping it there though, so I would make sure it is deindexed before deleting it (because it is just forwarding all traffic/SEO to your new site in the meantime)
