It Takes Time.

Many of you know, affiliate marketing does take some time before profit is made.

For some, they're able to earn a commission within the first couple of months and for others it takes a little longer.

Just remember that through hard work and dedication you will make it there.

Simply do not rush the process and the thing that really helps is, don't think about the making money part.

I went a couple of months without thinking about making money and concentrated on getting my website setup with content and making it presentable for my audience.

When I had about 25 articles posted, I decided to check my Amazon Associates account and was surprised that I had made a sale, it was only $4 but it made me realize that it was real and it gave me the motivation to keep working harder.

Being patient with your website and having fun writing your articles will help you stress out less and get your site to where it needs to be.

Take things one day at a time:)

Set yourself up a schedule whether it be an hour of training on Wealthy Affiliate or writing articles for your site.

What I like to do is write my To-Do-List on a dry erase board so I can glance at it and remember what I have to do that day relating to my site.

I also write down little goals of what I want to accomplish during that month.

Some of my goals are:

- Writing 20 articles for the month

- Getting at least 5 comments on each of those articles

- Finish up Certification courses or Bootcamp

Goals like these will help you keep up with things and prevent you from slacking. You just have to take it serious and don't let yourself lose motivation.

If you are doing this job for your Family then tell yourself that they are relying on you to make ends meet and that will give you the boost you need.

Have patience and don't beat yourself up if you didn't make any sales in your first couple of months, and most especially don't quit or lose your motivation.

Take care everyone, you got this:)

Hi Jaime,

This is a real timely post, it does get hard to continue the momentum and even though I do those things that you mention, sometimes the "desire" drops off.

Keeping the motivation going is an ongoing battle for a lot i=of us I am sure.

Thanks for the post.

Steve

Yes Steve your really not wrong about that because I too I'm guilty of it. I always just take a breather when I lose motivation and come back with a clear mind. It really helps me.

Really great article. Thanks Jaime!

Thank you so much:)

Thanks for this great post, Jaime :)

No problem at all:) Thank you for reading it.

Great article Jaime. Very helpful advice and reassurance for us newbies. Thank you.

No problem at all:) We were all once newbies, so for me, I never forget where I started and I love to help out whoever needs it.

All true. Unfortunately we all have that moment when we want to give up. Especially when we have lot of expectations, wishes, hope...

Yes we all come to that point but that's when you have to push yourself over that hump and keep going forward.

Great advise. Keep moving forward!

Thank you :)

Great advice. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much

Great advice! Interesting to see how othhers manage their work load.

Thank you

Hi Jaime, thanks for sharing this advice. I agree that time-based goals are really important to set as they certainly keep you on your toes and, ultimately, get you to where you want to be.

Personally, I have to admit that it's a bit frustrating that my keywords don't really seem to be helping my ranking as yet. My site is very new, though, and I have to acknowledge that.

It's going to be frustrating cause your site is still new but once your site builds age you will see your articles start moving up the ranks.

Great ideas, I like the to do list and goals - the blog I posted is similar, if you get a chance take a peak - Long Term Planning - estimating. Good Luck

Thank you and I will check that out. Thank you for reading:)
