Once I have added Contact form 7 plug in, do I need the reply box at the bottom and if not how do I get rid of it?
Do you mean the comments space at the bottom of a post? If that's what yu mean, I would leave it there. Google likes to see comments. I use Contact Form 7, too, but I still love my comments!
Hey Carla,
Was curious, I have comments located at the bottom of my Home page, About Page and a couple post and then some say comments closed, I have been in settings and I don't see a way to change this. I do have a Contact us page that is separate. How do I get comments on other pages.
I always have issues with the simple things, give me something technical..Lol....but not too technical..Lol
Kim, try Settings, then Discussion. There are comment settings on that page. Let me know if it works.
That is where I went, maybe I am not seeing how to do it. Or my theme is lacking something. Lol...
Strange, Kim. I even Googled it and that's what they said, the Discussions tab. Maybe it IS theme-specific. So many things seem to be. Sorry I couldn't help more.
No problem, I will just have to Google the Catch Box Theme and see what is up...Lol, The WordPress explanation is a bit vague on this.

I would like access to my wordpress files. How do you get to them?
If you need step by step instructions you just need to type "how to use ftp" (without the quotes) in the question box at the top and you'll find lots of training, questions and blogs there. Filezilla is probably the best program to download and use. ~Marion
Google: "Filezilla"
Download filezilla, then here, click on "Build my website"
To the right of your website, click "Details"
Copy your FTP username and password
Use that along with your domain to access your site files.
Thanks so much. Unforntunately I have to learn almost everything but with amazing people like you to help me, I am truly blessed.
Nobody can know anything until they learn!
All you need to do is download filezilla, set it up on your computer.
Then open it and put in Your website URL,
user name, password, and click connect.
From the WA main page, click on "Build My Website".
On the website page that opens, click on the "Details" link for the site you want to access.
A new page will open that lists your FTP user name and password for the site. Copy those into your FTP program and you're good to go.
The server address to use is your site URL with "ftp://" on the front of it rather than "http://"

What about making a video about the blog you just wrote and link it to and paste it in the blog?
I have don videos before on other sites and I am going to start here. I think they link your articles better. Thanks for responding.
Yep --you can do that --you can link out or just post the video there so visitors can what it on your site---I like that that way they don't leave my site !!!

I think I must have missed something, I created a website and put my first post on it but it is not showing up on here, Help!
Rich has so many answers!! He has helped me many times. I'm not sure when he sleeps! Must be on some kind of schedule like mine, cause I have never started a discussion when he did not jump in and help! Hope all your problems are gone and you go on to learning more and monetizing it!!
LOL. No probs. I know that feeling, I arrived just over a year ago, with zero-knowledge. I suffered information overload for weeks. Just take it easy, it's not a race, and if you get stuck just open a "discussion" in the appropriate Classroom or jump into chat and holler for help. :) Rich.
Your website isn't linked to WA, what you publish there doesn't appear here. If it's not appearing on your website, try going into Settings > Reading and changing the Front Page to "list of latest posts". Rich.

I added the plug in and haven't really had to do anything with it. My comments are still there. Google does like them so leave them all. If it gets to be too much, you have the option to not show ones that are past a certain date.
Thanks I will leave it alone!
