Is there any one inside WA who builds sites who knows the basic parameters of WP to actually (in the interests of time ) build a site based upon the Theme selected?
Is this blasphening to even ask?
Is there any one inside WA who builds sites who knows the basic parameters of WP to actually (in the interests of time ) build a site based upon the Theme selected?
My sites are not hosted at Wealthy Affiliate and I've been building websites since before WordPress was invented. What help do you need?
2 weeks ago I picked a theme available under the starter mode.
I added all the parameters outlined in the boot-camp training on WA.
Now as a premium member I want to change that hastily built theme to one that more encompasses my envisions of working at home affiliate with WA. How do I accomplish that?
However..........I've read some comments regarding you help to others. The refer to your "help" - seminars (may I use that term?)
that you apparently conduct. What's that all about?
As you can see I need all the help that I can get. WA is great but I need a direct source to "chat" to get immediate resolution of site
questions.
Sorry for the long ramble...
Bob
Apart from helping people within the WA space, I do private mentoring via Skype. But I don't try to gain new clients here as that would be against the rules.
I can understand...let's keep it within the WA space.
Nw...to my question as stated above...how to change from my hastily chosen site to my more considered site.
Thanks
B

After 2 weeks in program I'm finished Boot-Camp.
Want to spend this week end reviewing my sit, what I've done there with more understanding this time around as a Premium
You can change your themes without it affecting the content Bob. The only thing it affects is the menus and widgets, so you have to put them back up.

How do I start over or rather, I should say, "review"?

Trying to capture screen shots for my contact page...id there a tool?
I really like Snipping Tool that comes on Windows computers. It's pretty basic but does the job.
I apologize for the delayed response. I don't believe there is a tool in word press that works like snipping tool.
No there's no tutorial but it's pretty easy to learn (if you have Windows 7 it should be installed), just start the program and it'll let you select the area you want to take a screen capture of, then save it to wherever you want to load into wordpress.
Yeah, the snipping tool that Harmsey89 mentioned is simple but effective. I hope you found your answer have a great day.
....just found out that windows 7 and 10 has a snippit (sp) tool built in....thought you'd like to know...I'll use it for content in Word Press.
B
yup, I know about snipping tool. I use monosnap :-) It's free and has additional features to the snipper.

No, the search bar above is the best way to find content. All of Jay's training is under the Live Events menu, and individuals have their own training linked on their profiles. There is no comprehensive listing, however.

How do I transfer site content from WA to WP?
What is your intent here? Do you want to quit WA and move your content to a self hosted WP instance? Your best bet in that scenario would be to backup your blog (use BackWPup for example), setup your self-hosted WP and import your backup with the same plugin. Then update your Nameserver Settings and your done!
Let me explain.
I'm having problems formatting on WA. Why, I don't know. The finished content jumps around and does strange things.
Soooo many helpful persons there suggested just inter content, don't format, check spelling and check for duplication and then transfer to WP - I guess a better word is not transfer but up load.
Sounds good but what are the steps in doing all that? How do you upload to WP,or for that matter, how do I go direct to WP and just maybe do all the work there.
I've spent 2 days with this problem...what say you?
Oh, so you want to publish the content you have written in WA's SiteContent App to your blog "manually"?
Why not
- highlight everything (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A)
- copy everything to your clipboard (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C)
- go to your blog,
- click "New", then "Post"
- paste everything you've written (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V)
Does this help?
Hey Bob,
Not exactly sure why you would want to copy content that has already been published on Wealthy Affiliate on to your WordPress website, as that would be duplicate content and your site would be banned by Google straight away.
However, if you want to know how to transfer your website content from a WordPress website you have created here at WA, then that is a much simpler step. All you need to do is create a transfer backwards to the following tutorial: The Easiest Way to Move Your Site to Wealthy Affiliate ...meaning transfer your site away from WA.
Hope this helps you.

Hey Bob,
Hopefully you have not skipped Kyle's training starting with "Getting Started" (see screen print below) as he shows you how to use Wordpress straight away.
