Jack O'Neill's Paddle Out on Sunday
People left flowers, souvenirs, wet suits, drawings, leis, candles and numerous other things including rocks with wishes! It was an incredible day of love for all of Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas. I have tons for another blog!
Yesterday was the Santa Cruz Paddle Out in memory of Jack O'Neill. It was absolutely mind blowing! It is estimated that there were between 2,500 and 6,000 surfers that showed up for the paddle out. We were among the spectators which numbered over 25,000. The organizers said it may also beat the Guinness Book of Records for the most surfers at a paddle out. I got some spectacular videos of the entire thing and a ton of photographs. I am including one or two here! I hope you enjoy them. I apologize for the large pics! I don't know how to make them smaller???

That paddle out must have been a wonderful site. I've been to a few for locals here in NJ & Hawaii where my son lives . They are such a nice tribute to fellow surfers, who have such a bond with each other . Glad you attended. Will screenshot & send to my surfer boy!
Thanks for sharing!
