It's all in a day's work. I wonder what it is like in your end?

Have you ever wondered what's in the other side of your world? What I will share in this blog are my family's experiences. I will be popping up with different episodes randomly as much as I will be inspired to write.

So, how do you spend thanksgiving in your homes?

I had a funny conversation (at least to us) with Tom @ https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/w341thy which reminded me of thanksgiving back home.

I was born and raised in a small town where there is a close family-knit that ties everyone in the community. Everywhere, she is my aunt and he is my uncle. They are all my cousins, or otherwise our close family friends. What else do I expect from a town with 2 kilometers diameter? Literally!

Boy, is it thanksgiving almost every week! My family could always find reasons to be thankful and throw a thanksgiving party anytime ~birthdays, when the first born came, first month birthday, new jobs, new home, new car, coming out of the hospital, weddings, engagements. The list can go on and on!

It's thanksgiving, what can I say? And I didn't realize what it entails before and after. I just thought about it when I was talking to Tom! All I knew was that children should obey whatever their parents tell them to do without complaining. I didn't know I was that good as a child!

What??? Clean the house before and after the party?

. . . going to the market to buy all the meat and other ingredients for cooking! It's an assembly place for family, friends, and relatives. They love it!

. . . the food preparation and cooking! Who wants to help, anyway?

. . . the table setting of appetizers, main dishes (up to ten different kinds), desserts of many varieties to choose from. After setting, we had to watch and refill while our stomachs are grumbling! Lol.

. . . when the party is over, who's gonna clean the tables? Who's gonna wash the dishes, Who's gonna clean the house?

When all the visitors are gone, it's family dinner time. And while everybody in town were already snoring, we were still doing the "after" party chores!

So, what is thanksgiving to you and your family? As for my family, there are always reasons to have thanksgiving parties all the time!

And it's not actually all in a day's work!

Have a blessed day,

great blog and we need to have a heart of thanks giving, even though it is not something we have in the same way I think it is a lovely tradition to share what we are thankful for, we had harvest week in Scotland when I was growing up we all had to donate food and it was taken to those in need, I come from a big family though we did not have much we were taught to share, my mum was a great example of charity, have a wonderful thanks giving

Thanks, Katie. I'm happy to know we share the same tradition. Nothing can beat family time. It's precious! Your mom has such a loving heart. I bet you are, too!

She did and we lost her too young my children would have loved her, thank you for the kind words have a great thanks giving

Ha ha ha, excellent blog Betcha! Like I said, why not celebrate every positive thing in life. It's good when You have positive things going on rather then opposite of course. Even the mess after and dishes and washing is not that hard, because at least before that "mess" everything was filled with joy, happines and family meeting.

Thank You for sharing this and I hope that Thanksgiving will be perfect.

You're right and that's why we had those big parties all the time. I miss those days, though. Makes me miss my parents.

Very nice message! Enjoy your day with your family again creating more memories! Much go give thanks for!

Thanks, Wendy. It's nice to hear from you. Family time is always a good time. Likewise, enjoy yours as you celebrate thanksgiving. More blessings of all things great for you and your family!

Hey, thanks for sharing. You are very blessed to have a close family that shares and is often grateful and get together. I don't like the cleaning part, I must admit. But it's all a process. I am grateful I just have food to begin with, warm clothes and a roof over my head.

You're very welcome, Julie. Those cleaning! Ughhhh... And it was always fun, though. And a lot to be thankful for. More blessings to you and your family.

Beautiful message!
Niles

Thanks for chiming in, Linda. I believe we got some of our practices from foreign influences. And it's nice to have similar traditions that we can enjoy together wherever we go. Enjoy another blissful week filled with all things great for you and your family!

Glad I have a dishwasher Betcha

Oh yeah! Could you imagine, we do the dishes by hand. And oh, we scrubbed the floor with coconut hush by foot. Lol. Those were the days!
