I want to help a friend that is asking me something about domains, hostings, etc, so I want to she to use the WA help. Wath it will be better:

a. She uses my PC and enter

Hi,
it is easy, send her an email with your affiliate link in it :)

B. Send her a link to WA.

I suggest sending her a link :) And as an extra you could still log into your back office and show her around then have her sign up through the link you sent her :)

Isn't it lifetime cookies as long as she doesn't erase her cookies?

Thats right. You can erase cookies if you want. I would say send her a link to WA making sure its the one with your affiliate id. That way you are sure to get the credit for it.

Thank you. It's an important point I think some miss.

Do you know if the FIRST cookie has priority, or if the SECOND cookie has priority?

I believe WA has lifetime cookies, so send her your affiliate link and ask her to set up her free membership. Even if she doesn't, any time she goes back in she will come in through you. One of the really GOOD things here!

Which will be my affiliate link?

Click on the black tab with the airplane on it in the top right of your profile page. It says 300 under the airplane. Second box down says "Your Affiliate Link." Copy it from the http: to the end. That's what you give people who want to sign up for the 7-day trial. Hope this helps.

Got it. Thanks Carla¡

You're welcome!

My average Session Duration is 1 second, something is wrong here, what do you think it is?

Wow! Great and thorough answer!

Those figures are from what is known as a "Web Spider" or Web Crawler. They are used by search engines and scam engines to check your content and links. The search engines use this information to rank your site and pages, but scam crawlers just want to give you grief.

You can't tell what a person is up to when they look with interest as they walk past your house, but you can see the evidence of a burglar when you find your house trashed and stuff stolen. Same with a lot of these bots, some just want information for ranking your site, some want to steal your work for their own sites, or they want to trash your site with bogus comments and links.

Activate your anti-spam plugins and that will give you some sense of security and protection.

I just share one of my posts on a goup, but I go to the group and my post does not appear....

Take a look at this. http://mashable.com/2012/05/23/linkedin-beginners/ Best of luck to you!

Thanks Kim, maybe my question was not clear. What I do not undrestand about Linkedin is how to share my content on a group. I shared a post of my website in "Ecuador Empleos", but I go to the group, and I do not see my post or anything. Do you know how (the sharing) works?? Thanks again.

LinkedIn is a resource for employees looking for work or employers looking for hires, or even colleges looking to recruit. My sister works at ITT Tech and they use LinkedIn. I actually came across WA there and then joined.

Yes it is spam, I have found for my wp sites akismet is a good way to keep them at bay no spam, the only draw back is a $5 a month fee. There may even be a free wp plugin out there that works. Hope this helps some.

Yes, it's spam. I get a similar message quite a bit.

Yes this is spam I get the same message daily

Barry

My friend, like Carla & Steve said, this is definitely Spam. Make sure you Permanately Delete these from your website.

Talk soon,
Eddie

Yes it is a spam. I got them as well.

If these people have such great SEO "tricks" why do they need to spam us to get the word out? Just saying :)

Yes, it is. Spam it and then empty Spam. I get a lot of those between my various sites.

Yes, every time you see a comment non related to your posts topic, it is spam

Sure is! Get them all of the time!
Cheers, Joe

I have seen that people knows the name of amenber, even tough it is not provided in the profile. What is the trick?

Good question, Bernardo.

Check the answers of the WA members below, they gave me great info¡

Hi Bernardo,

Here's my take:
OPTION 1. View the member's profile or WA Space
- Either Kyle or Carson gives a very warm welcome message and they always use the name of the member. So you can get the name from Kyle and Carson's welcome greetings. And I've got your name from Kyle's welcome message. :)

*** Just in case you need this: You can do view the member's profile by clicking on their member name and that will direct you to their profile or WA Space.

OPTION 2. Follow the thread within the member's profile or WA Space.
- You can get it as well from other member's who love to use the real name of the member to greet and welcome or give a pat on the back.

Hope this helps.

All the best,
Jhen

thank you very much Jhen, yes this is the method¡

Thank you all for the great help¡

Another option Bernardo if you can't find it on the welcome post from Kyle, Carson or the person who recommended them you can also check out there website if they have one and go to the about me page and it always has there real name there. These are the only 2 ways to get someones real name if its not on their profile.

DES

If you're speaking of someone's actual name and not their moniker, scroll down their profile page to the welcome post from Kyle, Carson, or the member who signed them up. A member will always be addressed by their real name there. Cheers.

G'day Bernado, Often when a member joins, they will fill out the membership sign-up form where you enter your name and nickname and email etc. Then Kyle or Carson or one of the executive administrators will send you a message, that usually starts with "Hello Bernado, thanks for joining...."
I like to use a person's first name when greeting them, because there is nothing sweeter than to have someone greet you by name, so I look to see if there is a name in the greeting message.

Yes, I always do that, but wanted to know how that people find out the name. I though there is a way.

that's my way...eventually you'll see the referrer welcome the new member with their name.

go to their profile...and scroll all the way down the comments section in their profile and eventually you will see a name =)...very tricky
