I have narrowed my options to 3-4 niches, and although I have a great interest in all of them, I'm not sure which amongst them would be easiest to work with.

What I have learned and done is to first start with only one niche. Focus all your effort and energy on the one that motivates you the most. Pick the one niche that you will do even if you don't get paid. The niche that makes you want to stay up all night working on it.

Then you'll need to do the market research work. Find out what problems are people having within the niche market. Also, look for competition because this will show you if it's a viable market to get started with.

Go through Kyle's training below.

I have read through it, thanks! It's a useful overview, and I think it has helped me head into the right area.

Vegan/vegetarian meat substitutes seems like a good option. Have you done some keyword research to see the monthly searches?

Beyond meat gets an average of 24 000, vegan meet in the thousands, likewise for Impossible foods. Are these numbers reasonable?

Yes that's a pretty big market and is completely possible. To be honest all the niches you have stated are pretty big. I recommend you pick one and sub niche down even further to get your site off the ground.

Once it's established you can always add other categories in

A sub-niche, in the vegan meat category for instance, would be something like vegan hamburgers, correct?

Thanks for the advice.

Exactly, You could start off by talking about: best vegan hamburgers to try, How are vegan hamburgers made, Best place to buy vegan hamburgers etc.

Target low competition, long tail keywords to get the fastest traction possible.

It took my site 9 months to really get it going on google but I made some mistakes along the way and quit for 2 months before realising this is a long term game we are playing :)

In doing a little research, I don't actually see many places where you can buy vegan meat online. Amazon sells the Beyond meat burgers in bulk, but that seems to be about it. I have found a number of vegan suppliment affiliate programs, however. That seems more encouraging to me, although I could be missing something here.

You could still talk about vegan hamburgers and point people to the best places to buy them. You might be restricted in your affiliate promotions but remember you can always talk about other vegan related things as your site starts to grow.

There are a couple of people I know of that are making 5 figures/month by simply making informational style sites. Most of their income comes from ad revenue.

My biggest question to you is: What are you most passionate about or interested in?

You are going to have to write articles nearly everyday, so you want it to be as enjoyable as possible

I do care a lot about animal well-being, environmental concerns, etc., but I also am quite involved in fitness and training. I can see myself writing about the benefits of consuming animal-friendly, environment-friendly, workout supplements.
