On Vacation from WA
I took a vacation from WA today.
Let's see. I needed to relax a little and give my fingers and brain a break, so instead I....
- Slept in
- Stopped at ACE Hardware to find some PVC to fix a broken drain pipe
- Drove back home to measure my fittings once more to make sure I had the correct sizes
- Drove to Lowes to look at their drain supplies and get some advice on my plumbing problem.
- Drove to Home Depot to get a flexible coupling.
- Walked out to the truck and talked to my wife, then remembered I forgot to ask Home Depot about the stain for my cedar beam in the family room
- They told me to bring a sample of the cedar beam in and they would help me with the right stain.
- Ran back out to the truck only to realize I took the cedar wood into the house earlier in the day.
- Drove home to get the cedar wood.
- Drove back to Home Depot and had them put several types of stain on the cedar board.
- Drove over to Sherwin Williams to have them help with the stain because I wasn't happy with what I saw at Home Depot.
- My son called me and ask me to pick up some fruit at Sams as he was working out again and wanted to eat more healthy.
- Stopped at Homeland to pick up some chick breast.
- Drove to Sams to get the bulk fruit and paper towels.
- Remembered I didn't have a small enough saw to get into the cramped space in the wall to cut the PVC pipe so I drove back to Lowes to buy a small saw.
- Drove home and sat down for 10 minutes when my daughter came into the room and asked me to go to Hobby Lobby so she could buy my son a gift.
- I reluctantly went to Hobby Lobby then came home and crashed!
I'm exhaused.
I just finished watching Space Cowboys and I finally feel my energy coming back.
So much for taking a break. I can't wait to get back to building my website.

Would it help if you wrote a schedule for your break....maybe save running around in square circles..... You exhausted me just reading what you got up to on your day off!
Exhausting days like that can be very therapeutic for the brain. Hope yours if full of ideas again.

That's an awesome movie for starters. I'm going to need to be getting atain from home depot soon too. I found a few beautiful all wood bedroom dreasers cheap. Just needed a little tlc. I used to do autobody. Loved it, it was like art class all day. An art class that was really bad for your health. Not a good sign to go nose blind to laccor thinner.
Tangent A-side... If your having fun building youbweb page you I'd count that as investment towards better breaks through a sort of break. :)
Iwas just working on mkne when I realized I really need my laptop but to get it I'd wake a sleeping bwast. Not a good idea haha. I think I need to design some custom art for my page. It really is fun though.
Phew! You've made ME exhausted, too! Ha ha! Tedious work at home fixing things, etc. does help us reboot, believe it or not!
I guess we do need to take breaks, even if the break is not a real break.
I did make my wife happy that I was taking care of some things around the house.
