My First PPC Campaign (Update)
As you can see in my Active Users Graph below, my graph is trending up almost exponentially.
I started my first PPC campaign last Friday (5 days ago) and have been seeing mixed results, which is understandable, but even with the mixed results, my graph is really trending up.
I have over 15 different ads running on Bing right now and 3 running on Google Adwords.
I will let these ad campaigns run for another week or so as I continue in my Bootcamp training. There is so much knowledge to be gained, trying different ad variations and analyzing the results.
I am near the end of my Bootcamp training and I wasn't sure how much more I could learn, but if you follow Kyle's training and apply everything and try different ad variations, there's no option, other than to learn.
I will have much more to share in the next week or two.
Patiently Optimistic!
Rick

How has it been on your return on investment? Have you made back what you've spent running the ads? I've been wanting to try this, but wasn't sure if I would get back the money I put into it.

My first referrals came to WA within 24 hours but no one has gone premium yet: I’m not confident that the traffic from one of those ads was bringing in “quality” content so I shut that ad down.
I made one mistake and had my price per click way to high and lost money but I’ll chock that up to a learning mistake.
I can’t saying they are paying for themselves right now but i’m Not expecting them to yet as I am playing around with different variations and settings to see what works best plus you don’t always see an immediate payoff. As it is here with WA, a starter member may wait a week or several weeks before going premium.
I have more ads going to my website promoting products than to WA and those are still in flux as I may need to improve on my landing pages.
That’s not a real great answer to your question but that’s all I have right now as I am playing the mad scientist and experimenting a lot.

Rick,
Thanks for all the information. That is very helpful. I guess it takes trial and error to master PPC.

Unfortunately no sales through the affiliate links on my websites and no one going premium at WA but I am seeing a big impact when I use PPC. I’m just not getting conversions yet but I am still in the learning and testing stage with different ads so I’m not upset.
I’m more concerned about learning which ads work best for me.
I will keep you posted but I believe I will have great success. I still have much to learn.

Yeah!! Glad to see it working out. The figures look really encouraging. I hope you make some sales.
Yes that is so true. It seems like you have learned all you think you can and it keeps going. Keep up the great work with the ads
