Patience is a Virtue.

...in other people, I can hear my hubby say. How true!

Don't we all hope people will be more patient and understanding with us when we are being a bit on the needy-naggy side?

I am TRYING to transfer my domain name from Weebly to WA. According the Weebly, it is done and out of their hands. According to the WA websites page, my domain is showing "Live" status. It has its wordpress theme assigned and I have even published the About and Privacy Policy pages to it, but I have yet to be able to actually see my site.

Every time I click on the blue Login button within WA, it starts to log me in, only to then flash a warning that my connection is no longer private. This leaves me with only the "Back to Safety" option. Same if I try to just go to the website directly.

At this point I am feeling like safety be damned, let me press on and risk digital life and limb, just let me into my wordpress back office so I can see my site and start putting it together!!!! Visions of the things I can do with my nifty Phlox theme dance in my head, but it is all for nought.

No, I must be patient. Patient because this is Memorial Day weekend. Patient because the wonderful guys who operate the 24/7 support for WA have tried their best to help me sort it all out, but came to the conclusion last night that they need to bring in the big gun. The big gun being Carson himself!

When support told me they were forwarding my issue to Carson I felt so sheepish.

Honestly, pestering the owner of this community, this wonderful community with over a million users, many probably struggling with techie crap more annoying than mine, it seems a little like overkill. It's like the grumpy customer who wants to go straight to the manager instead of patiently allowing you to figure things out, trusting that you might actually know what you're doing. Gosh, I was totally content with the pace tech support was moving at...hope I didn't give them the impression I doubted their competence.

No doubt, with the spirit Carson and Kyle both approach their work with, Carson will not see this as a silly interruption at all. Yet waiting for Carson to look into it on a holiday weekend means waiting longer than just having the usual tech team sort it out, right? Because he shouldn't be looking into at all this weekend. He is likely spending time with his family and this is all good and proper.

Then I have to ask myself, what's my hurry? Freaking relax! It is a holiday weekend afterall, so why aren't I just holidaying it up with everyone else?

It's the vision...the ideas stewing...the words pouring in from the ethers begging to be written...the keyword research itching to be put to the test! It is making me cray cray.

Patience, an opportunity to practice patience. Yes, this is my silly first-world dilemma and it is all gonna be alright. Just chill the hell out and do what you CAN do. I can still write the articles while I wait for my site. I can still put together my videos and marketing plan. I can still research products to promote within my site.

In the end, I have total confidence this little snag will be all sorted out and I will have a perfectly functioning site. It cannot be that I am the first person ever to have this issue. Highly unlikely. There is a solution to every problem. Yes, even my problems. And what is the problem, really? That I must wait for the help I need to be given to me. That is the nature of my problem.

I can wait.

For now, the action to take is to practice that patience I frequently receive admiration from others for, and to just do what I can. So be it.

Hi, this post needed a comment. I hate seeing posts with zero comments....

Hopefully this problem was taken care of a long time ago now.

I liked your phrase, "Patience, an opportunity to practice patience." That is a wonderful attitude.

Have you used SiteContent yet? Although it took me a while to get the hang of drafting my posts in the site content area, I have come to love the ability to do so. When a great idea/topic pops into mind, I start a draft along and include the keywords that I want to use.

Best wishes.

YEeeeeeessss! I have started using the SiteContent feature now in just that way--making drafts of keywords as ideas come. I tell you, Sondra, the longer I am on Wealthy Affiliate, the more I love what it has to offer and the people here. People like you! XOXOX thanks for your kindness and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you also!
