Having Fun with Giveaways
I decided to start taking advice that I read on WA a couple years ago- have Giveaways, they drive traffic to your site.
My traffic is increasing pretty rapidly because they have to "LIKE" my fb page and "SHARE" the picture in order to be entered. I always make step 3 add a comment. Sometimes I am specific, other times, I let the tell me anything that they want to. This makes it easier to tag people and let them know they won.
So far, my winners have been in the United States, UK, and Philippines.

I have a question, I am going to be doing a giveaway and when I was trying to find the rules for facebook, I saw something saying you couldn't have them share the photo. Have you run into any problems with this?
No, I haven't had any problems. I seem to have overlooked this rule. I need to go back and look more closely. Thank you for bringing that up.
I have noticed even huge companies include the "share" or "tag" people in the promotions to get more entries.... very interesting.
"Promotions may be administered on Pages or within apps on Facebook. Personal Timelines must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries” is not permitted)."

Yeah I know I've shared a few pages pics to be entered in the giveaways, that was why I was unsure when I read that exact part you quoted. I know that you can have them enter by likes and comments.
Most of the time, I send the essential oils in an unpadded manilla envelope because they are tough little bottles. The postage ranges between $1 and $9, depending on how thick the envelope + essential oil(s) are.

Hi Becky, cool post, thanks. I'm about to host my first giveaway. I'm not on facebook though so will be using Instagram and Pinterest. I see this post was written way back... have you hosted more giveaways and how were they effective at increasing traffic to your site? Any pointers would be great.
Yes, I'm sorry I didn't get back with you right away. I had a giveaway this week during doTERRA's BOGO week, which was part of strategy this week. You can see my blog posts. My strategy worked well, even though there were some snags.
