Created my first post with more than 1000 words
I have written hundreds of posts for my sites. Until today, I never thought about how many words were in each post.
I usually write my posts directly in WordPress using my theme's templates so I can drag and drop the segments in a way that makes more sense.
Today, I used SiteContent/Editor provided by WA to see what the process was like. It features a spell-checker, grammar checker, and tests my content for uniqueness. Pretty awesome.
Even though I don't usually look at another person's blog posts for ideas on how to write, I could pick up a few things after researching that might come across as influence by their works. But that's rare on my actual blog posts.
By the time I was done writing, Site Content said I had 1255 words. I posted it to my website, added some pictures, added more text to go with the pictures, and made some other misc. edits.
Anyway, I'm exited that writing about 1000 words wasn't as daunting as I thought. Additionally, it's my first post for the Affiliate Bootcamp training.

Go you, Becky! Congratulations! I got some terrific responses from the WA community regarding how long a blog post should be. I'm aiming for a 1,000 words now when I write.

I was just thinking about post length today. There seems to be different ideas about how long they should be. My niche is cruelty free beauty, and posts don't always end up at 1000 or more words, but they are typically over 600. I think more words may be better for search engines. Congrats on your accomplishment!

Thanks...Animals are my greatest passion, and when I found out how much the beauty industry is involved in animal testing, it really inspired me to get involved, so that is the niche I chose.
It is amazing how much they test on animals. Plus, they have some pretty horrible chemicals in the makeup.
