One month and 10 days - Progress Review
I joined WA on 19th of December last year. In the last month, I have started my website called EarSnail. I have finished writting 30 posts. And, I started building the social network. During the process, there are many surprises and frustrations.
The First Sale!
21 days after the set-up of EarSnail.com, I got the first sale from Amazon. Although it was just $2, I was delighted as I got $100. Then, I belived that I was on the right way doing the right thing.
Disapproval of application of Amazon Associate Program
Since I have made the first sale, the Amazon reviewed my application to see if I was okay to join them or not. I remember vividly that when I get the email sent by Amazon, I felt sad. It was because Amazon disapproved my application because of unapproved use of Amazon.com trademarked words, images, or reviews. I lost my first sale. But, I didn't stop moving. I tried to solve the problem by removing all the wrong stuffs. Later, I summited an application again.
Second sale!
Just about 3 days after the first sale, I got another sale. I felt lucky. I thought that my application to Amazon would be successful. But, I was wrong.
Second disapproval
I got the disapproval email from Amazon again. Amazon told me that I commited the same mistake as before. This time, I knew one thing. If you have no ideas, just ask people who are expect in this area. Guessing is not the best way to remove the barrier. This time, I asked the customer service staff of Amazon online. During the chat, I knew what was going wrong on my site. I was not allowed to download product images from Amazon and paste it on my site. I could copy the html code from Amazon Associate Central and paste it on my site.
Looking forward
Now, I am lookinf forward to my third sale. Hope everything on my site is going right.
Low Traffic
I do concern the traffic a lot as you guys do. I see some WA members can get a high trraffic in just one and half a month. But, I can not do so. There are a few organic searches which is about 3-5 searches per day. I have built my social network. But, I cannot see the effect at the moment. I would appreciate if you guys can enter my site, and give me some suggestion to boost the traffic. Here is the link - www.earsnail.com
Busy next month
I have to back to school tommorrow. I have to studied hard to get my major. I will squeeze some time to operate my site EarSnail.com. I hope it is worth doing so. I am going to write 10 posts next month and post them consistently. Hope I can do it.
Honestly, I lost my motivation. I am in a dark tunnel and not able to see the light. Do not know how long the tunnel is. But, I would keep going because I don't want to put all my effort in the trash bin.
BTW, thank you WA, all WA members and the founders of WA - Kyle & Carson. I have learnt a lot about how to operate an affiliate business.
