I am building my site and experimenting adding images to the media library through the dashboard. I am unable to add images. It gives me HTTP error. Can anyone help, please?

There are several WA discussions regarding this same problem. For example: How do i fix the http error when trying to upload an image? .
Enter "http error uploading" into the search box at the top and read a few of the discussions for more potential help.
You can also enter "http error adding images to media library WordPress" in a search engine and you'll find a number of entries talking about this type of error. There appears to be several potential issues that could cause this problem: one person had to convert jpeg files to png files to get them to load, several talked about an incompatible level of PHP software on their host, a couple mentioned that they had a plugin activated that was causing the problem, etc.

I don't know of anything prohibiting this, but could you give an example (one you don't plan on using....)

The problem is now resolved. I thought it was an internet speed problem. It was not. I converted the JPEG file to PNG format and everything working. Thanks to all.
Hmm, mine is already png and no special characters... Continuing to hunt for answers then! :)
