WA teaches us to provide education/informative content and to write until there is nothing left to add. Sometimes it's 800 words while other times it can be over 1,000 words.

However, we're taught that on the average 1000 is best.

I am sure the recommended number of words will keep changing. What is important is that your content addresses your post tile keywords. The interesting thing is that when one knows their niche well the post length can get quite long because there are ways to expand content and still have it be about the post title. Competition keeps adding content too and right now it looks like the best written, longest post gets a better ranking so I would go for 1000 words but don't sacrifice quality

Google themselves (John Mueller, Google spokesman, when asked...) stated that in general, word count doesn't make a difference to indexing... then contradicted himself by saying something like "unless it's less than 300 words..." and he recommends at least 600 words.

For some keywords that can work... but I agree with Phil's (feigner's) first comment below.

The key is to put more, useful information, in a post than those who are ranking organically already (avoiding competing with big authority sites unless your site is one of them already!). So checking out the competition is key to doing better than them.

because you are trying to be more relevant than the top ten returned from that search in google....
no tool or platform can tell you how many words to write for each post...
you need to research what is being returned on page one and create a post that is more relevant to the query than the ones there....
this is the only way to get google to replace one of the articles it has chosen as relevant with yours....
the word count, like numbers in a keyword tool are only guidelines...
typically to get onto page one of google you arelooking at a lot more words than 1k, typically 1.5-2k nowadays and growing year by year as people catch on to the idea of longer posts...

it worked, thanks everybody.For some reason,the issue was when i downloaded it and manually moved the zip file to a location of my choosing on my pc.Everytime I would try and select it from this location it wouldnt load properly and hence generate the error message below.
When I let it download and stay in the location the laptop chose,the paid theme zip file loaded first go when I uploaded it from there....lesson here..leave it alone Billy....Thanks heaps for your help Marion,Trish, Jeffrey,EmakAmelia and AbieAJ :)

Sometimes a paid theme is actually a plugin that enhances the free theme. Try going to Plugins > Add New and let us know if that works for you.

Hey Billy,

Some theme developers will have you download more than just their theme files... you know... along with a README file, or a tutorial... that sort of things.

To see if that is what your chosen developer has done than, if you can open the zip file to view the contents, you may see the actual theme zip file inside.

If that proves to be the case, then simply extract the zip file you downloaded and you will then have access to the theme zip file to upload and install to your website.

Hi Billy,

If you are using a child theme then you will have to disable both the child theme and parent theme before installing the premium version of the parent theme. All premium themes from parent themes are automatically transferred to the child theme. (In other words, delete the free version theme first before installing the premium theme)

Otherwise, you should contact the theme developer support team to help you out.

Which site(s) are you having issues with?

Checking them for ourselves is the only way we will be able to determine if the site(s) cause this... or the device you are using... or even the method in which you are choosing for downloading.

The only reason I can see is possibly when you download them to your computer, for some reason the files are being downloaded with the .jfif extension instead of .jpg? Before you approve them downloading be sure to check your file extension.

I want to write a step by step on how to join amazon associates for my site with screen shots... will have to check their terms for this too them I am guessing...

No you would not be allowed to take a screenshot nor place a price on it. You can only use the links they provide and that is it.
Best to go through all their T&C or contact them direct to show you where it states it

I’ve watched a webinar by Jay Neil where this topic comes up. He stated that the pic quality on Amazon was inferior to the pics on the manufacturers site. So he went there to get his screenshots. Jay went a bit further. He modified the pic using photoshop to change the angle and in that way he owned the copyright. Hope this helps.

Good question. My understanding is that you might need to refer to Amazon Associate rules about that. From my own research that I know Amazon has rules and policies about different things. Hope others can answer your questions.

Simply speaking, whenever there is a major change in your website, for example, plugin updates or Wordpress Updates, or simply your content changes, and you want those changes to reflect immediately, you clear the cache. :)

Cache is memory it will not affect your posts, google caches websites
Cache means that it stores memory of your web page

When you search online an go to a website google keeps a memory of that visit and if you go to that site again its able to serve it up quickly because its in its memory

Some times this memory gets to full so if you go to your search history on your PC you will see a history of your visits, this is Cache. Its good to clear the memory as it can get clogged up

Clearing cache will speed up your site

I don't have that option....I'm guessing you have some sort of caching plugin installed. I wonder if you need it though as WA offers Site Speed already.

Looks though you may have a plugin that caches your website. If your site is hosted on WA servers then you do not need such a plugin as the WA servers now cache all of our websites for us.
