"When the student is ready, the teacher will appear'

When I first began my journey with WA in 2019, I was looking for an opportunity to develop an online business that would bring in a large income stream in a short period of time. It wasn't the money so much considering that I am retired and had built an adequte retirement fund, after 30 years of contracting work in my construction business. But the word out there on the street was centered on "the money". So, what the heck. Why not give it a shot. I have rarely passed up a good opportunity. In fact, I enjoy taking risks that come with a high probablity of success.

It didn't take me very long to learn that the dream of quick riches was actually a pipedream. The big bucks didn't flow from the horn of plenty. In fact, it didn't flow at all. I was doing the course work, learning about websites and keywords, content and comments. The mind was willing and receptive, and the flesh was tingling with anticipation. But ,still, no results.

I must confessed. Early in 2020, I kinda gave up the ship. The world was metamorphosing on the head of Covid-19. Other interests were drawing my attention away from what had been the main thing. All the excuses filled my airways. And I literally threw in the towel. My activity at WA trickled off to a drip. I stopped reading the course and neglected my websites. I stiopped working. And guess what? Everything stopped working. No content. No clicks. No money. Gee! what a surprise!!

When you get older, you begin to think you've learned all the lessons there are to be learned and there is no need to do the basics anymore. I thought I had a lock on how to do stuff and I didn't need to get down to the basics. I didn't need to be taught. I just knew whart to do.

When I got my renewal notice for my subsription it snapped me out of my stupor and like the teacher who tells you you need to get your work done or you are not going to pass the course, I got back in step and got my mind right.

The student in me snapped to attention and the teacher rose up before me like the phoenix rising from the ashes. I had been slacking off. I had copped out. I had caved. And suddenly I realized that I wasn't living up to the best in me.

I've never been a quiter and I was disappointed in myself. The world seemed to be going to hell in a handbasket, and I had given in to all the noise. I lost focus and it became clear to me that I needed to get in step and get back to making the main thing the main thing.

Success in this undertaking is slow and often tedious. But the rewards of staying with it are many. Nothing comes quick and it sure isn't easy. But you have to keep plowing ahead. and the rewards begin to show.

We are all students here and, If you sit back and reflect on your journey with WA, you will no doubt come to realize that, when you were ready, there were many teachers in differing outfits standing right out side your door.
