The bamboo tree

Too many marketers want instant success, unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, instant success rarely occurs. Anything of value takes time to mature.

Besides, what is all the hurry?

What's the rush.

Why miss all the growth experience along the way?

Some one told me once upon a time that it takes A Chinese bamboo tree five years to grow.

It has to be watered and fertilized in the ground where it has been planted every day.

It doesn't break through the ground for five years.

After five years, once it breaks through the ground, it will grow 90 feet tall in five weeks!

Not that I am advocating to have to wait 5 years for your business to grow. Many times it will begin to emerge much sooner. But nature has a way of teaching us some valuable lesson.

The bamboo tree is following its nature course to maturity. It doesn't know how long it has to wait. It just goes along and grows.

We would do well to follow the bamboo tree. Water your ground everyday and keep at the task at hand. And one day you too will have a burst of growth. It's just a matter of time.

Hi Dan. Thank you for sharing this great truth. It takes time and consistent work to build a strong foundation for a solid sustainable business.

Hi Dan. Thankyou for following me. I enjoyed all your 11 posts and liked them all. Yes, patience and honesty are indeed virtues that can give good harvests. . For it is in sowing that we reap. to be able to reap, we must also invest our time, effort and understanding in what we are undertaking. I particularly like your reaching beyond your grasp. It gave a dingdong bell on my head that reminded me that opportunities are abundant no matter what your age Is. It may take time to learn but if you set your goals simple, realIstic and cut them in portions, then my goals become precise and achievable within a set time frame. And if I lose my direction, get some support. A good example is our WA family who is here for the support we need. I like your bamboo tree too. It may take time, hope not 5 years, but if I am really willing to learn, I can also achieve what you guys have achieved. Maybe slow but surely to the track. Keep posting for more. More power and blesssings to you. Have a wonderful day.

Thank you Maria. It is amazing what can be accomplished in time.
I am fortunate that I came to affiliate marketing after I retired and find myself in a positon to be able to go as slow as I need to gain the skills. I look at it as payng forward from my past experience to now. Maybe a bit of a stretch. But we always have to do it. Life seem to require a certain amount of sacrifice, but it is so worth it.

Best of succes in all your goals

Dan

Hi Dan. I also read the rest of your posts. I liked them all but it is the Circles of 3 that got my attention. It Is true that I get stuck on the cIrcle of concern. But somebody has to remind me to stay in the Circles of focus and influence to get going. Post for more. God bless you always.

I'm very pleased to hear you like my posts.

I have found that the more time you stay in the circle of focus the less time you spend worrying snd fretting over al the concerns over which you have no control.

The added benefit of this is the growth of your circle of influence.

Genuine concerns exist and must not be minimized, but it comes down to a question of "control". If you have no control over a given situation, then what do you have? Staying focused becomes a habit and a very effective one at that.

I'm working on a piece about "parts" analysis, which you may find interesting.. Thank you for your gerneous comments.

Stay safe be well.
Dan

The virtues of patience- so key- am quite glad I set out on this journey expecting no reward till a long time ahead. Only provide content/service as needed- and when the course matures, the good times will come

Thanks for the great analogy, Dan. Once the bamboo does break through, it is almost indestructible.

Sure does act that way.. Thanks for you reply....

Awesome analogy Dan
In everything, patience is indeed a virtue
