How far can you go?

Samuel Smiles was a Scottish author and government reformer. Although he campaigned on a Chartist platform, he concluded that more progress would come from new attitudes than from new laws. His masterpiece, Self-Help, promoted thrift and claimed that poverty was caused largely by irresponsible habits, while also attacking materialism and laissez-faire government. It has been called "the bible of mid-Victorian liberalism" and raised Smiles to celebrity status almost overnight.

Many years ago I came upon the works of Smiles and found the following quote to be not only profound, but life changing. I was going through some personal upheavals. I had lost direction in my life. I was looking for some guiding principles. And Smiles showed up on my doorstep. He said,

"Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny."

Isn't that wonderful?! You sow and you reap. It's up to YOU.

Reaping what you sow is at the core of everything you do. When you study hard, you reap useful knowledge and skills. When you sow a seed you reap the fruitful bounty. When you sow friendship you reap friendship in return.

Thinking about your life in a positive way and developing effective goals, will become a habit over time. Practice this often enough and you build a character, and before you know it your destiny opens before you.

Now is the time to sow and reap the rewards. Develope some useful habits through the training here at WA and you will reap some amazing rewards.
