I am having a very unproductive week! I did create one new post on Tues, but nothing since. I am feeling uninspired and having trouble coming up with a topic for my next post. Curious to hear some of the ways you all have overcome these dry spells?

Do not worry it comes to us all, just sit and write anything that comes into your head even if it is nonsense , if that does not work take a break, listen to music or have a walk ..

thanks!

thanks for all the great suggestions!!

Go for a walk if the weather permits it or do something else,

There was a Kyle's lesson where it said if you look at sites like Yahoo Answers, people are asking questions. You look up questions in your niche and if you know how to solve them, you can provide an answer. You could make it into a blog post.

I like Quora myself. I always can't stop reading it. It is a similar question site.

I agree. I was going to suggest looking back at some of the comments you received when you posted your pages in WA to see some of the subtle requests that might be there, but going to Q and A sites in your niche is even better. Again, think back when you were first acquainted with the products of your niche. What concerns did you have then? Chances are someone else has them now.
Good luck.

So, even if you blog about being stuck, you have provided value. I think this is the only profession where our problems can be one of our greatest assets. Take care.

There are a lot of blogs about blogging out there. Now we might see blogs comparing blogs about blogging. Who are the best? Funny.

Whenever I can't seem to figure out what to do next, I look at other peoples sites and take inspiration from them. I don't copy them, just get inspiration from them. What is your niche? Maybe I can help give you some topic ideas.

thanks! Healthandwellnessforwomenover50.com

How about talking about how important it is to get those mamograms? You can also do another review about a really good vitamin supplement they could take. I know you have done some reviews already, but there are all kinds of them out there. Find some more really helpful exercise routines to stay healthy and live longer. I hope this helps.

I did the mamms already. Thanks, I'll prob do another review. Thanx for your input, it helps a lot!

Oops must have missed that one. You're welcome. Wish I could have been more help. I could talk to my mom (she's 55) she may have some things she would like answers to.

Hi there,

I'm still learning here. But when I have a blank, I move away from the laptop and go outside, it clears my head.

There are different things you can try to relax your mind.

Cheers,

If I ever get writers block, I look to other niche related websites for inspiration. YouTube is also an awesome resource because there's so many videos you can gather ideas from :)

thanks! forgot about youtube for some reason.

You'll love it ;)

Go and do something entirely unrelated to WA...something fun, creative, absurd, beautiful...something that you enjoy with all your heart! Nothing works better in my experience. Have fun! :-)

ok, I think I can do that! I think I'm too hard on myself, sometimes, putting too much pressure on getting 3-4 posts in a week

I've settled myself down to one a week with no guilt attached. Our well-being and family should always come first! Take a deep breath and chill way, way, out my friend. That kinda pressure can also adversely affect the quality of your writing. Go and have a happy dance instead...for all the good that you are already blessed with!

:) thank you!

Thanks!

I just read your blog the other day, Loes. I was just about to suggest it but I decided to scroll down and read the other replies just in case someone else already had. And here you are! LOL

Step away from it! Take a break, read a book, watch some mindless TV, do anything apart from concentrating on writing. It will then come to you :)

yes, I think I'm trying too hard to force an idea. Thanks!
