So Little Time
So little time, so much to do. It seems to happen every year. Several years ago, I started tracing the ancestry of my family. My grandchildren are really interested about their origins and I promised them I would do the research and write it up for them to have and keep.
I finished the first installment on the paternal family name and they received it last year. Early this year I started on my grandmother's family name. This trace took me all the way back to the Norman invasion of England in 1066. That's a long line to trace. I have let that project sit this year because I was completely absorbed with WA.
I have about two weeks before Christmas to pull this ancestral installment together for my grandchildren. The only way I can do this is to put WA on the back burner, so to speak, until after Christmas. That is what I am going to do.
I'll slowdown on WA until after the holidays then I'll pick up and go full steam ahead. I have too much to catch up on to stay out too long. In fact, there is much I don't know and don't understand that I need to work 100%on WA. Hopefully I can manage my time better in 2020.
I finished my latest post a few days ago and just learned that it has been indexed by Google. That is always good news. It's a Christmas post, check it out if you would like.

Congrats on the indexing Barbara and I would love to read a blog on your ancestry. I want to do mine as I got a good start since Dad was born in 1905 and Mom 1921. My grandparents get me back to pre-civil war easily. Did you use Ancestrydotcom or another service?
I've used Ancestry .com all the way through. it's a little expensive, but I usually wait for a special. They are really good about sending information they have that might relate to your family names.
Be careful. It's addictive
You have a great and Merry Christmas. I know what you mean by being consumed with your ancestry. I dabbled in that once upon a time until I came upon a major road block. Then my husband's health became worse and I had to focus on him. I just never found the same excitement as I did back then. That might be a great niche for you for another website, teaching others how to go about tracing their ancestry. Have you thought about that?
Take care and
have a blessed week

It's easy to get away from it, because it is a long, time consuming project.
No I hadn't thought about using it as a website. Now that you mention it, I'll have to give it some thought. thank you.
It might be worth your while. A lot of people are into that, who maybe cannot afford Ancestry.com or whatever it is that is advertised on tv so much.

Good to know about our roots where we came from. Maybe you can do a niche on that. Congratulation on your post to be indexed. 👍😁👏💪👆😊
