Mayday!
Mayday to all of you who know how to edit in word press beyond the obvious. And I cannot continue with new content until I get unraveledwith whatever Idid wrong.
I have a theme I like because it is simple and content is easy to read. With some good suggestions from some of you on how to make my website look more professional , I decided to work on that this past few days.
I decided to make a Header that contains my brand . In the Theme I have, the Header does not go all the way to the top of the page. So at the very top of the page I put the title of my website on the left and the navigation menu on the top right.
I added the header, changed the title and yes, I clicked on the function update. It appeared to take the changes, but when I double checked, the header and title had not changed --it still showed the previous one-- and also no matter what post I clicked on, only the last one I wrote came up.
I have tried everhthing I know to do and nothing changes. One of my posts was indexed in Google, first position this week and when I clicked on it,. the post did not match the indexed one.

I've also tried find a tutorial on editing in Word Press and haven't found one.

Sorry can't assist with this. I am having problems with a menu that obscures the header, I can't get rid of it.

Just went and took a look at your site. It seems from looking at the code that you are using the 2016 theme, is that right?
What I saw was
Affiliate Marketing for Busy Moms
above the header
and
The Right Business
for Busy Moms
in the header.
Off topic a little but I didn't like seeing two different main titles. I wouldn't care for two dentical titles either. Usually I only put my title in my header.
NOW, the business of not seeing your changes may not be in Wordpress, it may be in your browser, Chrome or whatever you use. Chrome is especially difficult this way as you need to go mess around in the settings.
Whenever I have a major frustration with a blog post, I log out of the blog, log out of the browser, close all my other programs and TURN OFF THE @@##$$!! COMPUTER.
Often, when I start it up again, the problem is gone. Not always, but it's always worth a try.

Thanks for your help. I've got Microsoft and Microsoft can be a pain. I'll check settings.
Yes, I'm using 2016 theme. It suggests an update, but frankly, I'm nervous about an update because of the problems I already have.
I went back in and customized all over again in case I had missed a step and it seems to be working correctly except when I want to pull up a previous post from the WP dashboard--it will always come up with the last post that was published.
My main concern was that those who accessed the site from outside ( that's what I call it) would get the right post.
Thanks for your observation on title and header. I have been a little concerned about what Kyle wants in this Super affiliate Challenge. He wants a title, and a brand and a logo and somewhere a banner, it gets a little confusing. I don't like a lot of stuff. I've seen some websites, that are so cluttered that I can hardly find the actual content.
I'm going to let this rest for awhile- I'm don't want to make any more changes right now.
