How do I change the discussion forum page on my site into "standard format"?

Sorry but I just used the term standard for a lack of a better word. What I meant is that if you go to the discussion forum on my site www.playstationsurvivalhorrorgames.com the visual layout doesn't appear the same or similar as the discussion forum sections on other websites. Mine just appears unprofessional and tacky and I'm not sure how to go about fixing it through wordpress. Hopefully you can help me here Wayne :)
This is just a blog page not a discussion forum. Do you want posts or a real discussion forum? The look of this is based on the theme. If you want a real discussion forum you need to use a software plugin or framework for a real forum.
I just installed the bbs forum plugin but I'm not sure how to implement the visual appearance of a discussion forum on my website.

You're going to sell used games? You'd be better off doing reviews on the the hot games and have links to purchase gamer stuff as affiliates.
