Creating My Super Affiliate Challenge Site

I'm pretty much into this now despite being a bit behind but not too concerned as I know where I am headed.

I have my domain name - have had it for over a year and done nothing with it. It was originally intended that I would use it to write about the many small humourous, sometimes frightening and dangerous, sad, failures, achievemnts and every day occurrences that have happened in my 64 years on this planet (the only planet I have ever visited).

And then along came the SAC and I thought "What the heck, it's as good a name as any even though it doesn't have the typicl "Make Money Online" association. That's fine because I know how I want to approach this.

My plan is to use a sales funnel and try to get as many who fall into it to come tumbling out the other side and land up in Vegas themselves at some time in the future.

I digress but wouldn't that be cool? When I get to Vegas I shall go out into the desert and carve "Lawrence Was Here" into a cactus or something.

Setting up My Site

Question #1

Kyle get's right into things but does not, in lesson 1 (or month one), mention Google Analytics or Bing Webmaster tools.

Should these be set up immediately or after a bit of content is added?

I think the criteria is to have done the first level of bootcamp which will answer this question.

So it looks like I should be doing both consecutively? Gulp (but only a small gulp - I am quite comfortable knowing where I am headed, and will catch up soon enough).

Question #2

Should the new user/gravatar account be a totally new one specifically for this site?
And on that basis I should probably change my farmer Brown profile you see here in WA - unless of course you all think that I look like a mean and successful Affiliate Marketer in that image.
I won't be putting a suit on for a photo though.

Question #3

Should I publish what I have so far or should I write some more and schedule the publishing?
I rather like the idea of the latter.

I have so far not published anything but have written my
"About Me" (boringly interesting BTW) and my +5,800 word WA Review (probably sleep inducing it is so long but will be going over that tomorrow with fresh eyes to see if it is too long).

Question #4

Don't you just love the photo of y only grandchild?

Leila at age 1 - she keeps me motivated.

Question #5

Have you cottoned on that this is my "blog for the week" as required in the month's goals?

But they are all questions I would like answers to from those who are striding ahead at an unbelievable pace.

Conclusion

Have a great weekend folks!

Thanks for sharing about the SAC, i will try to catch up with that sometime, Alan

Google and bing defi ately set up right away...also go through the first part of bootcamp right away..even if it is just a refresher
Publish your wa review straight away along with the various framework posts..ie about me..policy and affiliate disclosure
Also once wa review is published i would go to ur google search console and ask google to index..any questions on how please ask it is easy to do.
Same gravator can be used for all your sites if u want.
Personally i love the laid back farmer look but im from alabama so what do i know. LOL LOL LOL 😀😀😀

Personally I add google and bing analytics straight away. It only takes a few minutes to add the codes using All in One SEO and then it's done.

Get on with publishing. I think quality is better than quantity but we need to get articles on our various websites. It's something I'm not great at and have to work on as well - only four published and one in draft so far this month.

I like the photo although with a name like Bald Eagle I think there's a hidden secret or surprise in there somewhere ....

Oh, yes, I understand it's your week's post...I have been doing the same thing.

I now have to look to see if I have Webmasters or Analytics set up on my WA site...can't remember if I did or not. Thanks for the reminder.

I used the same photo. I think it's up to you.

You have to have 12 of your posts published by the 20th. You might want to publish at least part of them. Gives you a chance to review them online, and sometimes you see new changes. That being said, if I can I like to do all I need to do for the moment and keep a few in the wings. If life sneaks up on me and causes time constraints, I can keep up my schedule that way.

Have a great weekend your own self.
