The 7 Factor Secret Sauce

I've just read Kyle's 7 Factor Secret Sauce and realise I have major problems in that I do everything wrong!

My first reading of it resulted in me thinking "yes, but ..."

And that reminded me of my golf coaching days where folks want help and don't believe what they are told because their situation is different!

You watch the swing, realise what they are doing wrong and give advice to correct it and they say "Yes but I (unique situation given as to why they are different) ......" before they are even prepared to try the new uncomfortable drill that requires hours of application.

Often they believe buying a new driver, putter or wedge is the answer to a faulty swing. It's not - hard work and dedication with the proper drills and practice is.

Family and friends being the worst culprits - because they are even more special.

It's not my niche - its me checking analytics daily, rankings daily, Facebook every 2 seconds to see who likes my lates photo or post.

Times they are a changing ...

Hi Lawrence

Thank you for sharing! I loved your analogy - will remember that.

Wow, that sounds like a "kick backside" or "light the fire" article, where can I find it? I think I NEED that. Desperately! ;-) LOL!

I used the search bar and also looked on Kyle's profile, but can't locate it, can you please provide the link?

Wishing you a lovely day and much success! ;-)

Hi Sharlee
It came with an e-mail when I took advantage of the Black Friday offer.
I'm not sure if it was exclusively for BF sales or if it can be willingly shared. Kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place here as I want to help but don't want to do the wrong thing.

Lawrence

Hi Lawrence

Oe no, that is one place where one doesn't want to be caught - between a rock and a hard place! ;-) LOL!

Hmmmm... that makes me wonder... how do I renew my subscription? I've joined last year on Black Friday... but can't see how I am suppose to renew? Any idea?

Thanks

I think it is automated unless you specifically stopped it.
But then what do I know?

[sweep hand over forehead] I had panicked, but of course, this lovely community came to my rescue! Turns out, I missed the email for Kyle that said I will get access to all the bonuses when my subscription renew on 28 Nov. Panic resolved. ;-) LOL!

Wishing you a lovely day, Lawrence!

Such relief being rescued from between a rock and a hard place.

Have you read that book BTW? True story. I can't remember if he chews his arm off to get free or if he cuts it off but pretty chilling.

Hi Lawrence

No, I didn't know there was a book about that. I initially thought it was just one of my Mother's clever sayings (she had a few unique ones), and later I learned many people say that... but never knew there was a book.

Oh my goodness, the poor guy! I prefer never to read the book. May nobody ever again be in such dire circumstances!

Wishing you a lovely day, Lawrence!

He was hiking in a canyon and slipped and got his arm caught behind a rock. He dangled there, just able to balance on tippy toes - but not able to fall asleep, for several days before making the decision to forfeit the arm as his only possible hope of survival.

The really interesting part was that he was a part of a search and rescue team so knew how long they would take before they would even start searching and how long he could survive.

Because he had not set out for a long hike he had not told anyone of his plans and had no reserves. Quite well written in a calm manner.

The book was titled after your mother's clever saying.

You have a fabulous day too and what a stunner it is.

Oeee [shriek], I guess sometimes one just has to do what needs doing, eh? [pull faced] Geez, but I don't even want to think about it! PLEASE DON'T tell me anything more! ;-)

Yes, what a stunning day! Especially after the last few days. Enjoy! ;-)

That is a good analogy. As a golf coach, you can lead someone proper swing and proper practice, but typically someone will go back to their old (and not working swing) and end up buying something to try to solve the problem (a new putter, etc).

Everyone will have slightly different mechanics, but within those mechanics there needs to be a proper process (swing) in which they institute and they need to be aware of the things outside of the actual process that could be causing issues (wasting time on social media, checking emails 100 times per day, trying to perfect content, etc).

We all have a slightly different path to success, but the reality is that we ALL can achieve success if we understand the core principles and implement those...and avoid some of the things that are truly getting in our way.

I see your point in some of what Kyle mentioned in his Secret Sauce. I personally enjoyed the read...but I find my mistakes are just missteps. Just have to go back and correct myself a little.

My website is moving slowly by design...but I think it is time I step it up.

I took his pdf as a wake up call.

Don’t be so hard on yourself...just readjust and keep moving forward.

I wish you the best!
Bob

Thanks

I really you are not giving yourself the credit you have earned. Comparing and constantly checking your status with Facebook, have the potential of taking away what you really need to focus on and that is you and your website. "I have major problems in that I do everything wrong!" Please try not to think like that. We all are here to learn and part of learning is making mistakes. I wish you all the best.

We all have our own opinion and mine is right as far as I am concerned is what all of us educated people think.
Stop, look at every person's opinion and learn from them until you have a better opinion than before.
Tom.

This is a really important realization. Now that you have got this, I can see that you will be going onwards and upwards from now on. Look forward to seeing future updates.

Great reminder!
I love reading Kyle & Carson’s posts. They offer so much value and insight!
