2474 from 8 for 7379 to get 1258 - Not great odds but .

Today I wrote my longest post to date - at 2474 words the post beats my previous longest by about 800 words.

It was easy to write because I selected 8 low-hanging keywords which between them get 7379 searches a month (according to Jaaxy) and a potential 1258 visits in a month.

Now I'm not holding my breath or Jaaxy to these numbers but I do think it is a good way to get your word count up and (possibly) make the article more interesting.

My main keyword which had the best numbers was my title.

The only "bad" number was the Quoted Search Results (QSR) which is 149 - higher than I like and a starting point of at best top 15 pages.

Paragraph Headings

The rest of the keywords made up the headings of my paragraphs and smaller headings within the paragraphs.
These lesser KWs had a much smaller # of searches and potential traffic but should be VERY EASY to rank on page 1 because the QSR was way under 100 for all of them.

Writing the blog post this way I was able to write mini-blogs on each keyword and before I knew it I was way over my previous longest post. I could have gone on and written even more but I figured 2400 was enough to test this theory of writing a longer than normal post.

It's now up to Google and Bing!

I've done my bit now we wait and see what the fellows at Head Office decide - should be fun to follow.

Interesting approach - I had never considered writing this way before. I might try it and see what happens. Let us know what happens!

Michelle :)

Thanks, Lawrence
Great tip!

I really love your methodical approach to elevating your word count by choosing good relevant keywords through Jaaxy, Bald Eagle. Kudos!

Don't forget you will also be getting additional searches from Latent Semantic Indexing. Good Luck with the article!

Awesome job keep up the great work

Good thoughts and we'll be waiting to see the results :)

Wow way to go that sounds like a great post and I think it will go far

Will be watching to see how things go with your post

Thanks for the example to follow. Sounds like very rich content in one blog post. I have just focused on one keyword in the title and first few paragraphs and write my post normally not concentrating on keywords. If it makes sense I do include my keyword in some of my headings but not all.

A lot of times when I'm writing I come up with keywords to look up for my next article.

It is great to see how other people write.

All the Best,

Louisa

Yep - I try all sorts of things and new keywords do pop up from time to time. This particular blog just allowed several to flow.
Thanks for your comment and all success to you too.

Look forward to an update once it’s had time to mature. Very interesting approach, and one I think I could use.

Thanks for sharing.

It seems like you've got all the key words covered. I am interested in hearing about your results. Sound promising best wishes.

Thank you. I guess time will tell.
I will check the keywords tomorrow up to say the top 50 - some of the lesser ones could well be there.

your welcome, yes that is the way to do it
