Hi, I'm sorry to trouble you guys, but I wondered whether anyone else has had second thought on their chosen niche, after starting to create their website?
I'm now stuck

Wow, Thank you for your time in sending such helpful posts.
It's great to know also, that i'm not the only one who has had doubts about the choice of niche they have chosen. I have taken on board the advise you have so kindly given me and will use this to write some notes/lists to clarify my thoughts as to whether I should continue, at this moment in time with my original, but emotionally weighted option or proceed to take the second route which would be less of an emotional strain on me at this present moment and i realize that this part can only be answered by me.

I really have appreciated such kindness in offering me your personal advise on this matter Just knowing that you also have faced the same scenario makes me feel less alone and more able to challenge it head on. I hope i can return the kindness.

Many Thanks and much success to you all!!

Dawn

Hey Dawn - just a little point - it is worth clicking on the reply button at the bottom of the response - this way the author of the response knows that you response is for them.
it is worth taking some of the emotional strain off yourself and having an easier niche.
this way it will, hopefully, be more enjoyable.
you can always come back to your original niche in the future.

Thank you Phil for the heads up on the reply button use. i will remember this for the future, i'm thinking that you are most probably right in regards to a less emotionally stressful niche at this early stage of my journey and i think that this is most likely going to be my course of action. Its just been so great to get this problem shared and have a more clearer perspective, after asking for for help,
It really has made a big difference to a very confused state of mind. Thank you it meant a lot!

Wishing You the very best!!

Dawn

what about using something like notepad or a todo list to get your thoughts down in writing.
detail all of what you are thinking and as thoughts come up add them to the list.
if you have two or three niches then start two or three lists.
but go through the training with the first one - unless you are really convinced that you should change - use it as a prcatice niche.
once the site is up then it is out there and you may get something from it - mkae sure you commit to it for a while rather than - oh, i have to write about that huh.
get between 30-40 articles on there and review what you think .
but if it really is a struggle to carry on with it then by all means change - but beware of just jumping into another niche only to think - that one is better.
we all go through this - i reckon i could do better in this other niche. as you recognise niches you always will think the grass is greener- once in that niche another field looks even better!
soon you will end up with a lod of sites with a scattering of articles and be disappointed that it is not working.
list down all of your ideas for future sites and try ot concentrate on the one you started.
good luck with your choice Dawn.

Thank you, so much for kindly advising. I think that my problem lies in that the niche i created out of wanting to help others, has maybe to much emotional baggage for me right now and the alternative niche option doesn't and I'm thinking that maybe for my first niche, this 2nd option would be a more viable route to take at this moment in time. My question is also, is it possible to start a new niche website after you have just created your original.

I might add here that the original website has no content just a web address and it is set up ready for search engines, but that is as far as i've got. I again Thank you for your time in kindly reading my post and taking the time out of your busy day to reply. It means a lot!!

I often have second, third, fourth and fifth thoughts about my niches all the time, it's so easy to overthink them!

I always end up going full circle on my ideas but I think the trick is to learn to not worry or stress about it too much, just go with what motivates you and don't think about it from a money point of view in the beginning.

Not second thoughts, but evolution certainly as one subject kicks off an idea in a related niche.

One thing I know for certain that works is how to business training, that niche never gets saturated, because we all have different ways of doing things, some smarter than others and because of our personalities it will never get saturated.

All the time, but I try and think out of the box to create more content :) rather than give up on it...:)
