Hey
I wanted to know wether internal linking a image or a text from one of your blog posts to another of your blog posts be considered as spam by google ?

Hi Sanket,
I do it all the time. When writing about something but mentioning some other topics related to the one I am writing about, I also include the links to other blog posts. By doing so, the reader can find more related information if they want to, and it adds value to them. Besides, I think it is a good practice to include a few internal links to your other blog posts, and at least one link to an external source to build interconnections with other sites.
Best regards

Kyle suggests not to add affiliate links on each blog posts. You are adding at least one affiliate links in each of your post ?
Do you link to products ?
Do you make an effort to incorporate the the affiliate link in your blog content on purpose ?
Or do you add affiliate link naturally if it fits in the content.

Hi Sanket,
I was talking about internal links to blog posts, not affiliate links ;-) For the Affiliate programs I use banners through the site as advertising, and exceptionally I might include affliate links only if adequate to the content.

In my previous reply I was refering to the internatl links to other job posts. For instance, if I am writing an article about how to successfully prepare to an interview, I might include internal links to other job posts on related topics such as body language or most common interview questions. It is not the main topic for the post, but it adds value to the reader.

Ok thank you for clarifying. I might add banner ads in my side bar as well, relevant ones. i visited your websites, i wanted to ask which themes are you using and which widgets are you using ?

I saw there was a widget in the footer area where they were showing how many visitors from various countries.

Have you used widget for news letter as well ?

In your first reply you said ,"and at least one link to an external source " what does that mean ? I thought when you mentioned external links, you meant affiliate links

Hi Sanket,

The themes I use are ColorMag and SuperNews.

The plugins I use are mainly:
AllinOneSEO
EWWW Image Optimizer
Contact Form 7
Sumo
Shareaholic
Twitter
Mailchimp

I also use some plugins sporadically for specific tasks such as P3 Plugin Performance Profiler (to check the plugin performance), WP Clone to make my own backups and WP Optimize for database space optimization.

The information for each of those is available here https://wordpress.org/plugins/

For the flagcounter, you can create your own code here http://flagcounter.com and then paste it on a text widget.

For newsletter and mailing I use MailChimp and they also provide a plugin for WordPress.

Hi Sanket,

By external link I mean a link to another publisher, post or news post related to the topic I am writing about.

No you can add internal linking, but just don't over do it, but internal linking is good if you link it to a post that is similar to the one they're reading! :)

Thank you for your help !
How about i add popular posts with affiliate links on sidebar of a theme ? So no matter which post a visitor is reading the side bar is always visible to the user
