Is anyone out there an etsy affiliate?
Last Update: August 08, 2022
Hi, I have been accepted as an Etsy affiliate and would like to see a couple of websites with any niche that has Etsy reviews on their sites. If you are an affiliate of Etsy I would just like to see your website to see what type of stuff is acceptable to Etsy.
Thanks very much for your help,
Barbara

I noticed that you gave credit to Etsy and the shop for the photos so I did that to. I didn't read anywhere about the images and how to use them, I had just put an image of each product I recommended into the post but I added the photo credit after I saw yours. It doesn't say whether you can or can't use the images, but I don't see how it is possible to recommend a product and not show the image. It is harder to do Etsy because there are no other reviews on those products, so it's hard to get other points of view except for the few reviews they have. I wanted to be an Etsy affiliate because their products are so unique. I didn't think at the time that this is going to make them harder to review.
Amazon is easier to find products you can review, and sometimes the same product is on Chewy, so I have 2 choices for someone to buy one, but I don't know that you can find Etsy products anywhere but on Etsy. It's hard to compare them with anything, but I like them because they are unique, so I will just see how it goes. Mostly I have used Amazon, even though their commission is also low.
At least with Amazon even though the commissions are low a lot of people shop there so it might get more traffic. I haven't really even been doing affiliate marketing that long, only about 2 or 3 months.
Thanks very much, Jenny!

I asked a while ago about using images from Etsy and other affiliate programs through Awin, and we are allowed to use their images to promote a product.
I figured it would be best to credit the image and seller, so that is what I did.
I like Etsy for their one of a kind items, but it’s much more work to add links and images as compared to Amazon.
Good luck with your Etsy promotion.
They do usually have seasonal incentives for their affiliates, so watch for those.

Etsy is available through Awin and ShareASale, so that's one of my merchants.
Yes, if you are an approved affiliate, you can use their images.
Right now Awin is new to you, while Amazon is old and familiar. It's just as easy to get your links from Awin as it is Amazon, once you learn the process. We've also got the MyAwin Chrome Extension which will automatically give you the link whenever you are on an Etsy page (or any other merchant you belong to through Awin).
Etsy sellers are required to actually make their products, so they are unique vs. anything you'll find elsewhere. That's one of the reasons why those products are so great.
Like Amazon, Etsy offers over 200 million products, so it's quite common for someone to order something else while on the Etsy site.
BETTER THAN AMAZON, the Etsy cookie lasts 30 days (rather than Amazon's 1-day cookie), so people have 30 days to order something else from Etsy and you'll still get the credit.
Also, Etsy has never dropped their commission without warning, which we all know Amazon does often.
I choose Etsy any day of the week!

Yes, that 30 day cookie is a really great thing! Maybe someone will click on my site and buy something expensive within 30 days. You never know!

Thanks, Jenny. I am giving it a try. I think my next one will be better than my first one. I should have written more about what to look for when selecting a puzzle toy for a dog. I will remember that for my next review. I always do that on Amazon, I just forgot this time so I'm not expecting much.
Hopefully next time I will do better.
Thanks very much, Jenny!

I'll have to look for that Chrome extension. That would make it really easy to get the links. I am going to keep working with Etsy to give it a chance. I really like their products that is why I applied again to be an affiliate after I was originally rejected. Probably I had too little traffic when I applied. I have managed to increase my traffic somewhat. I need to write better reviews, though. I keep working at it.
Thanks very much, Jeannine!
