Hi guys, I just wanted to ask a simple question about the frequency of posting on my site.
In the beginning I was posting every day and so my publishing frequency was at 100%. Then I went for a while posting once a week. It dropped to 80% as a result. I have lately been posting between 2-3 days and so my frequency is going between 70-80%. At the moment it's at 70%.
At the moment I am trying to post every 2-3 days. Is this a good amount and will this bring my frequency back up to 100%? Also, as I started out posting nearly everyday at the start has this affected my frequency?
Any guidance would be great. Thank you.

Consistency is key. Make sure no matter how often you post. To do it around the same time each time. It helps Google with crawling your site.

Thanks for that. I am trying to post during the mornings in the States. That way there is more chance for it to be noticed than late at night.

It's difficult to keep it up though what with work and family commitments, but I try.

I put aside half an hour per day to draft up a post..if it turns out OK I publish it...if not it happens the next day...doing something is better than doing nothing! As T says...you have to be able to sustain what you do!

I take about 2 hours to research and write a post. Then I take maybe an hour to add pictures and fix up how it looks on the page. And then I will publish and share it.

Your frequency is excellent. It's important to remember why we are publishing a blog. It's all about how much traffic the blog will get. When you choose a keyword and then build your story to become the blog, this is designed to increase your traffic. If your traffic is not increasing, then you need to research how you can add something to interest more people and publish that as a blog.
If your niche was Recipes that use Vegetables, and you are promoting sales of vegetable cooking utensils to Amazon, then you need make sure your blogs include relevant keywords.
When you add the blog, after a time, (about a month), you can check if your traffic has increased. If you are aiming your blog to keywords correctly, the it will always increase.

Thank you very much for that. I wasn't overly concerned because I do want to put post regularly anyway. The reason for this is because I want to build up my site. I was alarmed though at how much my frequency had dropped. So your response has made me feel better about things. I will keep doing what I am doing and give the people a top notch quality genealogy site ;-)
