When you leave a comment on a fellow member's website, is there a way to know if and when they have replied to it? As far as I can see there are no notifications? Or am I missing something?

I ask as I happened to look at a website I had made a comment on a couple of weeks earlier, only to realise the owner had left a helpful reply to my question and I had not thanked them which I would have liked to have done.

I see you've already got your replies, Louise. But basically yes, you will get an email from WA informing the person left a reply to your comment on their website.
To be on the safe side, however, what I would also suggest is that you PM the member to let them know you left your comment, asking them to tell you when they reply, as you would like to thank them publicly xx

Hi Louise

From what I know, I think there isn't a way to get notified when they reply.

What I normally do is check to see if my comment has been approved; usually when it is, it means (most of the times) that the owner of the site has replied.

Hope this helps,

Luis

I can see them in a couple of different ways. I get lots of emails from WA and if I look closely at them I can see the ones that say something like "so and so replied to your comment."

The other way is if you click on the globe above you profile picture and carefully look down through the items you see there. You will see replies to your comments there as well and if you click on that it will take you right to your comment and the reply.

That's how I see them. There may be other ways that someone else can tell you about. Good luck.

Hi Frank,

Thanks for your reply but that's not quite what I meant. I mean replies to comments on fellow members websites rather than their profile on here....I guess because its an external website there is no way to link it back to WA again?

Sorry, I see what you mean. I don't know about that - maybe someone else can help.

I find the same with external websites, this is not unique to SiteRubix hosted websites...

What I do is make a note on the subject, the date, and the link...There are times I am interested in seeing if an owner of a high authority site has replied...

It gives me a chance to interact with that person and can lead to more, such as a guest blog post or a JV for a product launch, etc. It also helps get your name out into the community niche...

I would be interested to know if there is another way other than what I am doing hehe, it would save me a little time!

Cheers!

If you leave a comment in Site Rubix, you can se a list of all the comments you left and their reply ( I leliterally just figured this out last week).

I can see all the comments I have left, but I can't see whether they have replied or not?

You'll see Comment History, then click onto a post, when it opens just scroll down and you'll see you comment and their reply.

Thanks - I realise I can see them by clicking on it and scrolling down - but that means you'd have to click on them all the time to check! It would be useful to have a notification....

I thought the same thing, Louise. So apparently, we're notified when someone leaves us a comment but not the other way around which seems a bit weird.

Generally I'm just leaving a comment, but there have been a few times I left a question. When I say I just discovered that I had to click onto the actual post last week...I'm not exaggerating, lol.
