Hi everybody, I was just wondering how I can make a diffrent shade for the affiiliate disclaimers in my posts itself to let them stand out more?

I was reading in the FTC guidelines that the background where you place the disclaimers should be a diffrent shade and I have seen this by others but I am not sure how to do this.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Jude

Hi, yes, you will. Luckily lots of people here to help. Technical staff is most definitely not my strength either, and I couldn't do it without these amazing people.
I wish you great success.

Ok I don't know it,
Generally you can do changes in theme options.
Some go through the settings.
Any way looks like you might be set.
Michael.

Hey Jude,

If you are placing your Disclaimer within DIV tags, you could use the following code (changing the color to your liking, of course):
background-color: yellow;
so that your DIV tag would look like the following:
<div style="background-color: yellow;">[your content here]</div>

Hope you find this helpful.

There's a plugin called Elementor free version, it has features to make shade backgrounds (settings is middle tab)

Do let me know if you need anything else. Have a nice day.

Awesome thanks a lot. Is it compatible with the classic editor at all?
Do I just make the shades and then reactive the plugin?
Thanks a lot for your help, I appreciate it.

You edit the post in Elementor. I keep it running, however you can deactivate if you so wish to.
