Does trashing posts in wp remove them from circulation?
Hi WA Community,
I have previously blogged about a few of my posts whose titles I was forced to change in WordPress, days to weeks after publication. The articles continue(d) to appear on Page 1 of the search engines, even by their old titles.
But now I have just encountered something worse. Articles that I deleted using the "Trash" option in WordPress, remain unchanged in the Rankings. This wouldn't be a problem, if one didn't have good reason for trashing those posts. In my case, it's because I have copied the articles to a new website.
1. I think long ago, I saw something to the effect that trashing in WP sends the article to a "Recycle Bin". If so, how does one remove the article(s) permanently?
2. I only realised from a recent discussion that the articles we create through SiteContent get stored there. Could that be the source of the persistence of articles I have trashed in WP? Is it possible and advisable to delete articles from SiteContent?
