I want to change my gravatar email address as it refers to my old site and I have a new one I am concentrating on now. I suppose I have two questions really - does it matter which email address is attached (i.e. does it matter its an old one I don't really use) and if I change it will it affect my google rankings at all or is that irrelevant?

Also, if I do decide I need to change it, how do I do this?

Thanks

Louise

It's a bit muddy...the waters inside gravatar, but if you take your time, you can come out on top. Here's the link:
http://en.gravatar.com/

I don't know if you have your login information, but it's worth a try. If you are dumping your old efforts, I would get rid of the old you and come out, sister, with the new you!

If you registered your old site on your Google Search Console, you can delete it there as well and configure your new site. The only way I know how to do that is to be guided by Yoast SEO. It's a fantastic plugin. And their site has great walk-throughs.

It would be nice if any of this stuff was easy, right?

Changing your email site shouldn't affect your ratings. I think its probably a good idea to create the new address and then link the old address to it unless you plan to delete the old one.

Thank you. Is it necessary to change it do you think?
