Good morning to everyone.

My question is, do people still write articles.
Now I know we write posts over and over for our websites. But years ago it used to be about writing articles.

So I guess my question is, does anyone still write articles for directories and do they still have value.

And if so what directories do you use?

Thanks in advance.

Have a great saturday

Dale

Dale,

Kyle told me back when I re-joined WA in Feb. 2015 that publishing articles in any directories was essentially a waste of time and recommended that members no longer do it.

As commented before by Rich, WA did have its own directory - Street Articles which became defunct well before I re-joined this organization.

These directories had essentially become dumping grounds and Kyle no longer viewed the practice of submitting articles to them as a viable way to get traffic/visitors to your site.

Well look at that. Thats a great answer. Its what I thought but was curious. Thank you for letting me know I would be wasting my time.

whether it's called an article or a blog it's all really the same thing--article could be 300-500 words at one time on websites--now like in magazines they need to be at least 1000 to 2000 words

I still write articles, but I try and make them more fun and entertaining and not all scientific! :)

WA used to have it's own article directory, Street Articles, but it's now defunct since such backlinking is a devalued strategy.
