Can I use an image downloaded from the paid stock for free if I edited it?

Absolutely not. I'm married to a photographer, so I know these laws. You cannot do so. Google will also know if you are using even a few pixels of the first image. Not worth it. Take your own pics or find free ones.

Jeannine,

If I take a picture and then post it to one of my WA content domain's is that allowed? I picked a Walt Disney theme as my niche, (not good idea) and of course, Disney has the rights to everything!

Not too many free pictures, but I can take some myself if that is allowed. I don't want to do anything that is illegal. I don't want to be fined.

I would appreciate any advise on this.

Thanks,
Marion

If it is your own photo, you can use it. Don't change it at all to add or delete something however. Disney is ferocious when it comes to protecting their brand.

That being said, there is the Disney Movie Club affiliate program on the Awin.com network. (I work for Awin so I know!)

Interesting question.
I would agree with the rest, better safe than sorry. There are plentiful free images, it's not worth of trying. (and it takes time to edit too :) )

Hi Makhsud,

This is one of those fine lines. If you edit a certain amount of it you then can claim it as an image of your own. It then comes down to the point of did I edit it enough.

In my opinion it's not worth the risk of a lawsuit so I tend to stay away from that.

Makhsud, I usually take and create my own completely from scratch if I really like the image.

If you use Pexels.com you don’t have to give photo credits so I don’t see why you couldn’t?
