I'm still in te process of building my website, so I don't have any affilate links set up yet. However, finding good reliable visuals for my posts are extremly diificult because they cost a lot of money. I know we're not allowed to take photos straight from google because it counts as copyright, but if I linked the photos I used back to where I retrieved it in my posts, does it still count as stealing? Or if you have any good places I can find reliable pictures to use, please let me know! Thank you!

You should be mindful of whether the images are totally free to use without any legal impediments. Florentino

Hey, Aminah!

You are right, you cannot use just any image for your website. However you can use depositaries like http://pexels.com, http://unsplashed.com, or similar websites to look for free images. Just make sure you understand if the images are free to use or if they require attribution. Check out this post for many, many websites like the ones I've mentioned above: Also, I found a training here at WA to look for free images by using some tricks on your browser. Check it out here: And a little reminder, since you are a premium member, you can look for images on the sitecontent platform here at WA.

Good luck! Hope this helps you!

Thank you so much! You don't understand how much I appreciate this. I have one more question! Once I get access to affiliate links, will they provide me with images to display on my website or will I have find them on my own? I'm only asking because they're going to be specific.

No problem, Aminah!
I'm happy to help you out.
And to answer your question, I can only tell you it depends on the program you sign up with. Affiliate programs usually don't provide images, but some of them give you links that show a preview of the product with the image. (Like the Amazon Affiliates program)
However, I've heard from other members here at WA that it is easy to get permission from the companies to use images of their products to promote them. I've seen it is mainly done through a simple email.

Hello, I have one more question? Once you set your chrome browser to show free images, how do you know for sure if they're actually free? I don't want to potentially use anyones work or get in trouble.

Hey Aminah!
What I like to do, just to be sure the image is free to use, is clicking on the website said image was uploaded to. Usually, you can access these details from the search engine results (Just click on the image you want, that will open a preview of the image and the title of the website, if you click on the image again you will be redirected to the page where it was uploaded and then you can be sure it is really free to use.)
Also, Wikipedia is a great source of images that involve brand logos or famous companies. The pictures uploaded on Wikipedia fall under the creative commons license so provided you give attribution to the source you can use the image in any way you want and even modify it.
I hope I answered your question, but if I didn't comment below and I will be happy to help you out.
Have a great day!
