We seem to be having some trouble with the Wealthy Affiliate website today, slow to no loading.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi wonderful WA family, I've been struggling with promoting my websites on Pinterest and Facebook. Looks like I need to find some training on both, any suggestions?

Have the community found traffic to their websites increasing with promotion to either Pinterest or Facebook? I need to pick one to focus my learning attention on but not sure which?

I would really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks

Lily

If this helps.

Facebook is suitable for Affiliate Marketing promotion, as long as its done the right way, either through your own page, or via a group or groups.

i am currently in the process of setting up a specific Facebook strategy, which should suck around 100~200 leads per day to my own funnel.

Pinterest is good for traffic generation, through the reading of suitable and similar blogs in your niche, which give an opportunity to generate traffic via a bank link/s depending on the quality of your answer.

A good overview Dave, thanks. Let us know how your FB plan goes.

We haven't had any loading issues today, so I am not sure what issues you have been experiencing, but if they happen again please reach out.

As for Facebook vs. Pinterest, both have their benefits and it really depends on your business. There are many people that love Pinterest and it works really well within niches that are visual.

Obviously Facebook can be a social media platform that you can leverage as well, but it takes quite a bit of time investment. This should be done as not the sole focus of your business, but complimentary to your content creation activities and your website activities. That should be your key focus, in particular when building out your website.

Hi Kyle, that's interesting about the loading issues. Perhaps it's a local server problem. I'll send you a PM if it happens again and I appreciate the support. I don't like to bother you.

I'm glad to hear your views on Pinterest and FB.
Warm regards

Facebook is pretty powerful, I've done promo posts that went viral among friends, generated leads and sales.

BUT the problem with FB is that it's a full-time strategy itself because you need to treat it like a blog:

Invest time and effort into building your targeted audience, which means sending/accepting friend requests, messaging folks, engaging with everyone, and posting high engaging value posts on your wall, etc.

This needs to be done most days to keep the momentum going and creating a brand for yourself.

I've had to take a break from FB because it impacted my blogging routine and became frustrating - especially with everyone prospecting all the time lol.

So it's not as easy as just creating a FB account and sharing blog posts.

Personally, I'd stick with Pinterest, it's just much easier to get creative and share others pins vs spending hours engaging on FB.

Jay's done some great live training on pinterest that will help you :)

Thanks Neil, I will checkout Jay's training. Sounds like investing time in Pinterest might be the way to go.
I appreciate your advice.

No problem, Liliy.

Pinterest takes time to get traction, but if you create a few awesome pins that go viral, you can have a lot of consistent website traffic like Google.

Whereas with FB, if you take too much of a break, everything comes to a standstill.

You're pretty much held to ransom with FB lol.

Oh no not for ransom. Lol ๐Ÿคฃ

Facebook used to be great for small business but hasn't been very good for a few years now Lily. I just have a few automated posts going through my timeline. It became a lot of work for very little return.
Just my opinion from using it, others might think differently.
Pinterest seems very good now for traffic but I need to learn more about it before I say more.
Good luck.

I appreciate your opinion Linda. You are a savvy business woman.
Thanks

Interesting comment Fleeky. I've always been a little cautious over Twitter. But I will look into it.
