My First Commission! Woo Hoo
Now I can truly say that I'm astounded and thrilled. Not that I ever thought that creating a business on the internet wouldn't work. Just that I didn't think it could work for me. I'm not the sort of person that has that kind of luck. But it wasn't luck at all, I did the work and the study.
My commission is a small $19.79. But it's from a guitar company in Australia, who really need the support and sales during Covid. It's decimating our music industry all over the world in lock down and no gigs. Musicians and new learners are taking this time to buy a guitar and learn more online.
Part of my success has to be passed onto this awesome learning platform called Wealthy Affiliate. It really was a fortunate day when I tripped over a review of WA and joined my friend Jack Cao on this 10 month journey. Without the support of Jack in those first few weeks I would have quit! I couldn't get my website to look the way I wanted so Jack fixed it, I'm lucky he is my coach. I'm in awe of Kyle and Carson for creating such an affordable and adaptable training course.
The rest of my success has to be attributed to the wonderful people who have followed me and shared the journey here in this community. Many times you lifted my spirits with your own stories and the kind thoughts that you sent on my blogs and on my website posts.
I've made some great friends all over the world, who are always there for a chat or some advice. You are so precious to me, thank you, Heidi, Dave, Janie and Christine. There are many more of you who have reached out and I thank you too, you know who you are.
An extra surprise in creating a website has been the skills in web design and content creating that I've had to learn. These skills have made me more confident in working online and being up to date in our changing world. Skills that I can sell in the outside employment world.
Whatever comes in my life I will always have a business that I can grow, by creating content and affiliate links. That is such a liberating thought.
In our crazy world, many women over 50 are finding themselves unskilled and out of work permanently in Australia, with great hardship. Wealthy affiliate is one way that anyone can up skill for their future and even better from home.
Creating content is still a huge challenge for me but I keep coming back to the training modules and they get me back on track again.
I'm so glad to be here with all of you, new and old alike, I wish you the pleasure of reading that email to say you have confirmation, that you can create an online business for a brighter future.
Wishing you all the success you dream of in the years to come.
Baby steps, everyday!
Love Lily

Hey Mac,
Yes I've been MIA for a while focusing on writing content and learning the social platform. So much to learn.
This commission was a huge boost.
Hope all is going well for you and your business.
Stay well my friend

All is well. I have had my head down putting in some much-needed work myself on my sites.
You stay well also.
Thank You

Lily,
Yeah!!!! That's awesome and so great to hear. The first commission is memorable, for sure.
I know you've been here for some time, so it's great to hear you finally made your first commission. As you said, it's all about taking baby steps (every single day). Keep working at it, who knows what'll happen next in your journey here.
Thanks for sharing- all the best,
-Eric
Lily,
A wonderful accomplishment!
Congratulations!!
I love your words:
"In our crazy world, many women over 50 are finding themselves unskilled and out of work permanently in Australia, with great hardship. Wealthy affiliate is one way that anyone can up-skill for their future and even better from home."
It is not only women over 50.
So many people around the world are unskilled and out of work.
What we are learning skills that we should feel a certain obligation to pass on to as many as we can. ๐
Good on ya!!
Cassi
Thanks Cassi, it's certainly a thrill and the opportunity is there for anyone. I love this community, such lovely people and support.
Your success is just around the corner.
Take care and be safe

That's wonderful! Your post gives me hope and inspires me :-)
Only yesterday I thought of musicians and how they have been doing in these times. I live in a tourist town and there are many really great live bands here who play in bars, for locals and tourists, and who lost all their gigs. I hope they can pick up the beat soon ;-) :-)
I totally understand. There are no gigs in the whole of Australia at the moment and our artists are suffering. We are able to jam in tiny groups spaced out.
Looking forward to times changing.
Thanks for your thoughts.
