How Easily Are You Distracted?
At the end of the day your business will thrive and succeed or die, on your ability to ignore outside distractions and work your plan. Not just today but every day.
This is a photo just taken from our home in NSW Australia, of a smoky blood red sunset. Fires are ravaging our beautiful country. As I sit here, I am listening to the wind rise and gust outside, knowing that tonight many will lose their homes, some their lives.
PERSPECTIVE!
What can distract you
- Bills that need to be paid
- A demanding job
- A sick child
- All the jobs of a mother/sister/daughter/ father/son/grandfather
- A natural disaster or accident
Always come back quickly from distractions to your business, this is where your dreams live.
I decided to share this moment in time with you because being house bound for days now with
ash falling and choking smoke, I realized that I reached out to all of you here in the community.Another of my husband's photos from our back yard. Black cockatoos in an Orange sky. Scary!
When Jim posted about our fires here this our morning, you all reached out to touch those of us feeling very vulnerable. Because if we are not directly in the path of these catastrophic fires at the moment, tonight some of us will be. Or our family and friends will be. We've packed our cars. Our families and friends and those we need to help are on speed dial.
We have already lost 150 homes and 3 lives. Let's hope that tomorrow is better news.
When all is said and done. We live our lives to love and support our family and friends. Money is a great vehicle for this but it can be replaced, material things are replaceable but without the people we love, life has no meaning.
So take a moment in time today and hug your family, make some time in today to put them first and show them they are the reason you work so hard on your business.
I can't thank you enough my new friends for reaching out to me and Australia with your prayers for us all tonight.
Stay safe and be thankful.
Blessings
Love and hugs

Lily-
My thoughts are with you tonight. I live in northern California and we just went through something like you are going through now.
Thankfully, we were not in the fire's path but could spell the smoke
and never knew if the fire would come our way.
The fire season is still not over. It hasn't rained for months here.
God bless you and keep you safe.
Mike
Take care Lily, this fire season is going to set all the wrong records.
Life events can be the biggest " show slowers ", your advice is sound as soon as we are sorted get back on track and focus on the things that will create the outcomes we desire.

Those images are frightening. I'm keeping Australia in my thoughts and prayers. Please stay safe.
Amazing photos - in a scary, spooky sort of way.
It gives a sense of how real this is for those affected.
Be sure to stay safe and thanks for the reminder to avoid the distractions and focus on what’s important.
Oh, Lily! Those photos are incredible and terrifying. I can't begin to imagine being in this situation. Continuing to send prayers and good vibes for rain. Wish I could send some of ours. Stay safe and keep us posted.
Christine
I will Christine. The experts expect it to peak around 2am tomorrow morning out time. It will be a long night.
Thanks for your support

Good evening my sister, I am so freaked out what is going on with the fires, and all I can say is, my heart is with you, and you and all the families that are there are sincerely in my prayers. Please please my sister be careful. You are so very right, all of us should always take the time to show our loved ones how much we really care, we never know what tomorrow holds. Be blessed my sister.
Oh my goodness, those images are frightening. I've seen too many of those smokey sunsets here when we've had wildfires but those cockatoos really capture the devastation. Stay safe, sending positive thoughts and energy your way.

Hi Lily,
Stay safe.
I thought the fires have stopped burning. I wish I can bring our rain to Australia. It rains here in Kuala Lumpur, every day. And we have to worry about floods.
I watched on TV how they rescued the koalas.
May God stop your ordeal and save everyone and every animal in the path of the bush fires.
Azizah
That was just down the road from me. Sadly we lost 60% of our Koalas last week in the fires. Heartbreaking!
