Are You at a Crossroad?

Looking back through my life I realize that there have been many crossroads. A time when I had to make a big choice, one way or the other. These are memorable moments but when you think about our daily lives we are making decisions every day that impact on our lives and businesses.

Choosing not to choose is a decision and one we often don't recognize, it's called procrastination. It's too hot, too cold, we're sick, the family is sick, we have a job, there are meals to cook. It is incredibly easy to slip into being so busy that although everyday life chores get done somehow we don't do the little things that will build our business into a success.

Life can become a blur and we need a strategy to keep us moving ahead a little at least every

week. Don't avoid those crossroads, embrace the need to chart your own course to success. Make little changes to your plan.

Every week I have to start fresh as there are lots of challenges and no two weeks are the same. It's taken a while but I don't look back or regret what didn't get done. I look forward to the coming week and create a week of small goals that will slowly bring me success.

Sure, it would be great to suddenly be making a fortune but better to make baby steps than to quit and make nothing.

Don't blame or complain, plan!

Sometimes you need to step back before you can forge ahead. This is your chance to make the rules!

What is your strategy?

Is it working?

Every day is a fresh start, a new Crossroad so to speak. How you choose to use it is your personal decision. I know for me, somedays I choose the path which accomplishes the most. Some days (like today!) I give myself a break and choose the easy path. Neither one is a bad choice as long as it's not the only one you ever choose.

What a great way to look at it Jeannine. I like that idea.

Hey Lily! Great read and a reminder, too. Theres only so many hours in the day. By balancing a few things, I'm able to continue to make progress, in whatever task is at hand. Its sometimes a zigzag, three steps forward, two back. Yet, sometimes the move forward is further, which is refreshing.

Exactly Rudy, you have the idea.
It can make it fun juggling the jigsaw pieces.

Hi Lily, I guess I can always find an excuse to procrastinate. Problem is things pile up at the end of the week and I end up making mistakes when I try to rush things to catch up. Strategy do the best I can when the situation rises.

Best wishes,
Michael

A great strategy Michael. Rushing doesn't seem to get it done faster, just more mistakes. Have a great weekend.

You too Lily.

Thanks Lily. I think we have crossroads continuously in our lives. Some of them are so familiar that we know where we want to go do just keep going without hardly noticing. Some are on side roads which dont make much difference on our journey, but the crossroads on the main roads are the ones we need to be careful about. We are always in such s rush and tare on through so many of them and as they say, the rest is history. I think it would do us well to stop at some of them and check the map. That way we might pick the road with the best scenery along the way.

Absolutely Geoffrey, we do need to smell the roses along the way. A little thought goes a long way.

And roses do smell lovely if you take the time to stop and bend down to them.

My life has been full of crossroads. Qld, NSW, NT, Vic, SA, the only two places I havenโ€™t been to yet is WA and Tassie. This is all through work. My strategy is to try and stay in one place more than seven years and Iโ€™m into my 4th year and it seems to be working. I must have been a Gypsy in my past life.

From one Gypsy to another I salute you Yvonne. I absolutely loved travelling around Australia when I was 17 with my dog and a guitar.
We are blessed.
